Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Hanny Sledgehammer (ranked 2265 p4p, 312 weight class) and Dex Arial (ranked 3557 p4p, 460 weight class). Arial is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Thunder. The key to victory for Hanny Sledgehammer has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

8 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Dex Arial! The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sledgehammer misses the shot to the body. Sledgehammer cracks a nice hook into Arial's ribs. Arial forces Sledgehammer back against the cage and clinches. Sledgehammer breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Arial's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Sledgehammer connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Arial scrambles back to his feet. Sledgehammer throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Arial counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Sledgehammer pushes Arial off and scrambles back to his feet.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Arial slips a jab and a cross from Sledgehammer.
Arial is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here. Sledgehammer connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Arial's hands. Arial slips a jab and a cross from Sledgehammer.
Sledgehammer tries to clinch but Arial moves out of range. A jab from Sledgehammer misses. Arial gets tackled into the cage by Sledgehammer. Sledgehammer maintains the clinch. Sledgehammer tries to score a body lock takedown but Arial shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Sledgehammer is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Arial is defending well.
That's one minute gone in the round. Arial wants to take the fight to the mat but Sledgehammer manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch. Sledgehammer wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Sledgehammer scores with a shot to the side of Arial's head. Sledgehammer is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. Arial tries a body shot but Sledgehammer blocks it.
Arial being controlled against the cage. Sledgehammer stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body. Sledgehammer breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Arial shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Arial was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Arial landing a few strikes. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. The ground and pound from Arial seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent. Sledgehammer tries to escape but Arial is in control. Arial looks up at the clock and then as Sledgehammer takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Arial smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Arial working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter. Sledgehammer wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done! Arial is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Sledgehammer is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Arial throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage. Sledgehammer is trying to escape and get back to his feet. Arial lands a few punches from side control. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Arial cracks Sledgehammer with an elbow. That is naaassty. Arial lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face. Sledgehammer pushes Arial away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Arial gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control. Arial working the ground and pound. Sledgehammer is trying to buck Arial off.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Arial trying to control the position but Sledgehammer is working away. Arial prevents Sledgehammer from escaping the position. Sledgehammer tries to get back to his feet but has found himself mounted instead. Damn, that's gotta suck. Arial with good strikes from the mount here! Sledgehammer trying desperately to get to his feet.
A nice elbow there by Arial. Arial tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Sledgehammer takes a big shot to the dome and his eyes have rolled back in his head! Arial's killer instinct has kicked in as he finishes the fight with more strikes. Impressive finish.
