The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Peters is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Diaz.
Peters misses with a double jab.

Peters throws a head kick but Diaz moves out of range.
Peters scores with a decent looking hook.

It looks like Carmen Diaz has been cut.

Peters takes the fight into the clinch.
Diaz scores with an uppercut up the middle.
Peters is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Peters is trying to push Diaz away but Diaz has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Diaz wants to take the fight to the mat but Peters manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
