Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Wayne Benning (ranked 1650 p4p, 208 weight class) and Sub Zero (ranked 2651 p4p, 312 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Wayne Benning!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Sub Zero!
The judges for this bout are Francis DeMontford, Skip Squint and Ben Watson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Benning paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Zero fails with the takedown.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
Zero shoots in looking for a takedown. Benning tries to sprawl out of it but Zero keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Benning manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Zero dives in for a single leg takedown but Benning sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Wayne Benning has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Sub Zero.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Zero tries to score a power double leg takedown but Benning sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Zero somewhat.

A telegraphed takedown attempt from Zero is defended easily by Benning.

Sub Zero seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Benning cracks Zero with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.

and Benning counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

Zero takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Benning drops Zero with a naaaaasty hook - Zero is in real trouble here! Benning dives in to side control and pounds out his opponent for a TKO victory! The crowd goes nuts!
