The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kinski dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Kinski misses with a right hand and Kinski takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Kinski throws a hook but Robertson blocks it. Kinski swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Kinski throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Kinski misses with a wild body shot. Robertson moves away from the strike by Kinski. Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Robertson throws a left that rocks Kinski and follows with a right that sends him tumbling to the canvas! Robertson dives into side control, looking to finish! Can Kinski regain composure!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Robertson fails to land a wild elbow strike.
Kinski dodges the ground and pound from Robertson. Kinski regains half guard, as Robertson was trying to land strikes. Kinski is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Robertson scores with a couple of nice shots. Robertson throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Kinski blocking the ground and pound attempt from Robertson. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's one minute gone in the round. Robertson wants to control but Kinski is keeping him busy. Robertson slows the pace down in half guard. Kinski is trying to maintain the position but Robertson is very close to passing his half guard. Robertson looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Robertson working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though. Robertson not landing any meaningful shots this time. Robertson is keen to just control but Kinski is a slippery customer. Robertson is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. Robertson throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Robertson working Kinski over with strikes.
Kinski is rocked! Robertson lands a big elbow from half guard. That looks like it's hurt Kinski quite badly. Kinski pulls Robertson in close trying to recover. Robertson postures up and lands two really hard shots that put Kinski on queer street! The ref takes a look and decides to call an end to the fight! Possibly an early stoppage but Kinski doesn't seem to be complaining too much.
