Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Ronnie Rolla (ranked 1157 p4p, 143 weight class) and Grigor Vladovich (ranked 1027 p4p, 129 weight class). Rolla's entrance music is Hit 'Em Up. A fine choice. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vladovich stalks Rolla and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Rolla's face. Rolla staggers backwards, shaken.
Vladovich keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Rolla.
Rolla uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Vladovich.
Vladovich throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Rolla closes the distance and pushes Vladovich back into the cage.
Rolla lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.
Rolla scores with a nice hook to the head.
Nice body punch from Rolla - that landed with a thud.
Rolla blocking some punches.
Vladovich misses with a hook from the clinch.
Rolla dodges an elbow strike from Vladovich.
Rolla blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Vladovich misses with a short punch on the inside.
I was talking to Rolla's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.
A right handed body shot lands from Rolla.

Vladovich throws a head punch that misses.

Vladovich creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses.

Rolla scores with an uppercut up the middle.

The referee is keeping an eye on Rolla - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.

Rolla uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Vladovich.

Vladovich looks to land a left hand but Rolla moved out of range nicely.

Rolla throws a body shot but no joy.
Vladovich tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Vladovich swings widly with a right hand
and Rolla counters with a right hand that sends Vladovich tumbling to the canvas! Can Rolla finish him? He dives into Vladovich's guard looking to do just that!
Vladovich is rocked!

Rolla postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
Vladovich is still in real trouble! Can Rolla finish him?
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Rolla sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Vladovich's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Vladovich makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work!
Vladovich misses with an uppercut
and Rolla counters with a right hand from hell and Vladovich is out cold! A vicious knockout!

After winning the bout, Ronnie Rolla thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
