The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kitamura scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
Kitamura throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Mulligan moves into the clinch.
Kitamura looking to stall.
Mulligan tightens his grip and picks Kitamura up, before dumping him to the ground. Kitamura manages to land in guard.
Kitamura wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Mulligan manages to pass to side control.
Mulligan works his way into side control.
Kitamura knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Mulligan on the ground.
Mulligan prevents Kitamura from escaping the position.
Mulligan has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Kitamura is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Mulligan yanks on the arm and Kitamura is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Mulligan.

Fionn Mulligan really struggled to get his t-shirt on before his hand was raised. Making sure that NXGEN logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty.
