Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Arnold Warrington (ranked 5871 p4p, 0 weight class) and Carlos Brooks (ranked 5847 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Arnold Warrington! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Carlos Brooks! The judges for this bout are Michael Johnstone, David Hoff and Santiago Holmes.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Brooks throws a right hand that misses
and Warrington makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. Brooks slaps away a takedown attempt from Warrington, before circling back to the center of the mat. Horrible takedown attempt by Warrington or perhaps it was just good defense by Brooks, which made it look bad. Warrington closes the distance and clinches. Brooks avoiding damage as Warrington throws knees to the body.
Brooks keeps control of Warrington as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Warrington is trying to pull guard but Brooks turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Arnold Warrington. That's going to take a lot out of him. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Brooks goes for a takedown in the clinch but Warrington prevents it.

Nope, Brooks circles away and we're back to standing. Brooks is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Warrington. Brooks wants to counter with a clinch but Warrington pushes him away. Warrington throws a low kick but Brooks moves out of range easily. Brooks tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Warrington defends well and Brooks ends up having to push Warrington into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. As Brooks backs away, Warrington returns fire with a leg kick that just misses. Brooks fails with the takedown. Brooks has a takedown stuffed. Warrington fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Warrington moves out of range of the strikes. Brooks looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Warrington is fending him off so far but Brooks persists. Nope, Warrington circles away and we're back to standing. Warrington moves into the clinch. Brooks looking to stall.

Warrington is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Brooks is defending well for now. Brooks tries to pull guard but Warrington holds him up against the cage and eventually Brooks drops back down to his feet.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Warrington tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Warrington is trying to force a seperation but Brooks has the dominant position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Warrington pushes Brooks up against the cage in a clinch. Brooks looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Warrington manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back. Brooks trying to control the position from guard on top but Warrington is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Brooks passes Warrington's left leg - he's now in half guard. Warrington trying to get back to full guard but Brooks takes advantage of the position and moves to full mount! We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Warrington is squirming around, avoiding Brooks's attempts to control the action. Warrington looking to escape from mount but he's given up his back!
That's one minute gone in the round. You can see the frustration on Warrington's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.
Brooks is not going to allow Warrington to sit and survive in this position. Warrington can't escape the position.

Brooks has his opponent trapped and is landing shots. Not a good position for Warrington. Warrington trying to control the hands but Brooks won't let him.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Brooks is persistently looking for the submission but Warrington is defending it well.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Warrington looks to control his opponent's hands but he's not mananging it at the moment. Warrington is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Brooks gets his way!

Carlos Brooks showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!
Brooks changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Warrington tries to avoid it but Brooks manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Warrington to the ground. Warrington escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Warrington throwing a counter right hand but Brooks manages to avoid it. Warrington throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Arnold Warrington is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Brooks throws a head kick that misses. Brooks tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Warrington paws at him with a jab and circles away. Warrington clinches with his opponent.
Warrington is pressed up against the cage. Brooks has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Warrington down to the mat. Warrington avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Brooks takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Warrington goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo. Brooks shoots and misses and Warrington counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Arnold Warrington has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Carlos Brooks. Warrington pulls Brooks into guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Brooks accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Warrington trying to control the position here. Warrington not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
That's one minute gone in the round. Brooks trying to control but Warrington is working from the bottom. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Warrington is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Brooks defends well. Brooks trying to control but Warrington is working from the bottom. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Warrington has his foot on Brooks's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Brooks works his way back into a safe position though.

Warrington shoots for a takedown but Brooks saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Brooks dives in and grabs Warrington's left leg, looking for a takedown. Warrington pushes down on Brooks's head and hops out. Warrington has Brooks up against the cage in a clinch.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Sloppy strikes from Brooks. Those never looked like landing. Warrington keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Brooks shoots in and drives through. Warrington sprawls well. Warrington gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Brooks tries to pull guard but Warrington holds him up against the cage and eventually Brooks drops back down to his feet.

Brooks is pushing down on Warrington's leg trying to pass to half guard. Warrington is fighting to maintain full guard but Brooks has managed to sneak the leg through. Brooks looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Brooks moves nicely into side control.
And that's the end of the fight! Arnold Warrington showed his dominance in that final round. I think Warrington has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
