Shiroo has chosen The Gazette / Filth In The Beauty as his entrance music. Tetsuya Shiroo will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Gwen Towbar and Frank Dennis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tua throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Tua looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Decent striking displayed by Tua there.
It looks like Tetsuya Shiroo has been cut.
Tua scores with a sloppy right hand. Shiroo should have avoided that one.

Tua scores with a hook to the body. Shiroo takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.

Tua darts in and clinches Shiroo up against the cage.

Tua tries to work over Shiroo's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.

Shiroo has a couple of punches blocked by Tua .

Shiroo is looking to break free of the clinch but Tua has double underhooks.
Tua swings away with an uppercut that misses.

That has opened up Tetsuya Shiroo's cut even more.

Shiroo is trying to break the clinch but Tua is controlling him.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Tua creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
Shiroo is trying to stall.
Shiroo lands a shoulder strike.

Tua lands a right hand that snaps the head of Shiroo backwards.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Shiroo tries to throw a body punch but Tua avoids it by throwing Shiroo back against the cage.
Shiroo tries to work over Tua 's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.

Tua rushes Shiroo and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Tua scores with a nice hook to the head.
The cut above Tetsuya Shiroo's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
Shiroo blocking some punches.
Tua misses with a punch to the body.
Tua breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Tua throws a push kick but Shiroo slaps the foot to one side.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Tua comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Shiroo tries to clinch but Tua is having none of it.
Tua lands a big uppercut and Shiroo crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Shiroo looks OK. Tua waves Shiroo back to his feet!
Shiroo is rocked!
Shiroo fails with an attempt to clinch.
Shiroo is still on wobbly legs! Can Tua finish him?
Shiroo is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Tua circles and sees the opportunity to plant his feet and throw a really nice straight left hand that drops Shiroo to the canvas! Shiroo doesn't know where he is but he's trying to survive - Tua keeps piling on the pressure and forces the referee to step in! This one is aaaaaall over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:34 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). David Tua !
After winning the bout, David Tua thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
Tetsuya Shiroo spoke after the fight, saying 'I was prepared to die in this cage tonight. The opponent was the better man today but I will be back stronger.'.
