Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Joseph Parker (ranked 3755 p4p, 385 weight class) and Hamish McTavish (ranked 1566 p4p, 173 weight class). Parker comes to the cage accompanied by Roots Manuva - Again and Again. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
15 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Joseph Parker! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
8 - 6 - 0, fighting out of New York, Hamish McTavish! The judges for this bout are David Schapiro, John Kavanagh and Jonathan Paton.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight. McTavish is trying hard to land a takedown here. Parker sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. A little feinted left hand from Parker on the counter but he doesn't commit to it. McTavish looks to clinch and McTavish takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. McTavish shoots and misses and Parker counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world. McTavish misses with a takedown attempt and Parker counters with a stiff right hand. Joseph Parker has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Hamish McTavish. McTavish fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Parker was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
That's one minute gone in the round. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. McTavish is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Parker's half guard. McTavish trying to control from half guard but Parker is working away. McTavish throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. McTavish has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. McTavish missing with the ground and pound from half guard. McTavish slows the pace down in half guard. Parker is trying to stand.
That's two minutes gone in the round. McTavish lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. McTavish not landing any meaningful shots this time. Nice strikes from McTavish there. Parker is trying to stand back up but McTavish is controlling him
McTavish throwing shots but Parker is blocking nicely. McTavish is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. Parker wants to get back to his feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. McTavish throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Parker has hold of McTavish's hands but McTavish slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Parker avoiding damage under a succession of punches from McTavish. McTavish thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. McTavish is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount! McTavish thowing shots but they're missing. McTavish is in full mount looking to finish with strikes. He lands a big shot, followed by another and Parker goes limp! The ref jumps in to end the fight - a big win for McTavish!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Hamish McTavish! A less than humble Hamish McTavish misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
