Coming up we have a lightweight kickboxing rules bout between Morgan Wade (ranked 5005 p4p, 523 weight class) and Miguel Ortiz (ranked 2459 p4p, 290 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Wade might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to The Bleeding. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
16 - 13 - 1, fighting out of New York, Morgan Wade! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
20 - 12 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Miguel Ortiz! The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, Steven Brown and William Gold.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Wade showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Ortiz.
Wade is looking to clinch but Ortiz is avoiding it.
Wade closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the ropes. Wade cracks Ortiz with a nice body shot. Wade blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
We've been informed that Ortiz has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result. Wade lands a right hand. Ortiz misses with a body punch.
Our sources have told us that Wade has been working on his knees in the buildup to the fight. Ortiz escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Wade cracks Ortiz with a perfect right hand that drops him to the mat! Ortiz is sitting up but I can't see if he's OK from my position. The referee's count has reached 5,6,7 and Ortiz is still not up. Can he make it? 8,9, he's up! Wow, he cut that one a bit fine! Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Ortiz swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Wade lands with a thumping leg kick.
Wade gets a clinch. Wade blocks an elbow strike from Ortiz.
Ortiz with a knee to the head.
It looks like Morgan Wade has been cut. Ortiz tries to throw a body punch but Wade avoids it by throwing Ortiz back against the ropes. An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Wade. Wade breaks the clinch.
Wade throws out a powerful jab. Ortiz takes one to the chin there.
Ortiz is rocked! Ortiz tries a head kick but it misses.
Ortiz is still on wobbly legs! Can Wade finish him? Ortiz misses with a body kick.
That's one minute gone in the round. Wade fails with an attempt to clinch.
Ortiz tries to score with a low kick but Wade moves his leg out of the way. Ortiz throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Ortiz seems to have recovered his senses. Wade clinches with his opponent.
Ortiz misses with an elbow strike.
Ortiz throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Wades head. Wade softening up his opponent with strikes, against the ropes. Wade blocks an elbow strike. Ortiz blocking some punches.
Wade has a couple of punches blocked by Ortiz.
Wade scores with a shoulder strike. Ortiz manages to break the clinch.
Wade is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Ortiz. Wade drops a shoulder and throws a biiiig uppercut that drops Ortiz onto his butt! Ortiz pops straight back to his feet to convince the referee that he's OK to continue. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Wade wants to clinch. Wade scores a flash knockdown with a right hook that drops Ortiz to his hands and knees! The ref pushes Wade away as he looks to land an illegal blow. Ortiz got an extra few seconds to recover there, which could have made all the differences as he stumbles back to his feet. The referee looks into his eyes and decides to allow the bout to continue. Can he survive?! Ortiz throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ortiz pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Wade slips a jab and a cross from Ortiz.
Wade instigates a clinch. Wade lands a left hand that snaps the head of Ortiz backwards. Ortiz breaks the clinch.
Wade closes the distance and clinches. A left hand lands to the body for Wade.
Wade scores with a hook to the body. Wade scores with a shoulder strike. A short right hand to the side of the head by Wade. Wade creates a bit of space and cracks Ortiz with an uppercut that drops him to the canvas! Ortiz is wobbled and seems to be struggling to get back to his feet. 3,4,5. He's up! Phew, his manager will be relieved but they're no doubt wondering whether he'll be able to recover properly and get back in the fight! Wade wants to clinch. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Ortiz is wiping some vaseline out of his eye. Wade doesn't give a rats ass about fair play and cracks him with a massive hook to the side of the head! Ortiz crumples to the floor out cold! The cornerman is going to be in Ortiz's bad books for that mishap!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:52 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Morgan Wade! After winning the bout, Morgan Wade thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
