Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Boyd Kayne (ranked 5886 p4p, 0 weight class) and Abdelmoumen Aissaoui (ranked 5867 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Abdelmoumen Aissaoui!
The judges for this bout are David Hoff, Daniel Franklin and Winston Alpacca.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Aissaoui circles away from the clinch attempt

and Aissaoui counters with a nice double leg into side control. Kayne won't be happy with that.

Aissaoui lands a decent elbow from side control.
Kayne defending against the ground and pound.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Aissaoui lands a nice forearm strike.
Aissaoui really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Kayne. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Kayne is letting Aissaoui control him for a moment.
Kayne manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!
Aissaoui tries to roll over but Kayne keeps him under control.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Aissaoui can do anything to dispel that myth.

Kayne is trying to work for a kimura but Aissaoui is defending well.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Aissaoui tries to roll over but Kayne keeps him under control.
Aissaoui is trying to stand back up but Kayne is controlling him
Kayne is keen to just control but Aissaoui is a slippery customer.
Kayne is pressing down on Aissaoui's thigh, looking to free his foot. Aissaoui is holding on for now.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Kayne gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Aissaoui to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Aissaoui stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Kayne swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Kayne can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Aissaoui controls the pace.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Let's hope that Aissaoui has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
Aissaoui's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
Kayne is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

Kayne misses with a body shot

and Aissaoui counters by moving into the clinch.

Kayne tries to close the distance and clinch but Aissaoui swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Aissaoui shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Kayne shoots for a takedown but Aissaoui saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Kayne lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Aissaoui at a distance.

and Aissaoui counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Aissaoui.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Aissaoui would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Kayne is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Despite the aggression on Aissaoui's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.

Aissaoui shoots in for a takedown and gets it.

Aissaoui is working for a kimura but Kayne is defending it quite comfortably.

Aissaoui fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Kayne, pushing him back against the cage.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Kayne has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.

Aissaoui decides to pull guard.
Aissaoui wants to stand and escape but Kayne is having none of it.
Aissaoui looking to hit a scissor sweep but Kayne is one step ahead there.

Abdelmoumen Aissaoui showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.


Kayne scores with a head kick. Aissaoui tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.

and Aissaoui counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Aissaoui drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Kayne manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Aissaoui has Kayne in his guard.

Aissaoui is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Nice sprawl there from Aissaoui as Kayne shoots in.
Aissaoui throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Kayne on the side of the head.
Aissaoui throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Kayne closes the distance and clinches up with Aissaoui, looking for a takedown. Kayne pushes Aissaoui against the cage but Aissaoui circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Aissaoui shoots in and drives through. Kayne sprawls well.

I would just about give that final round to Abdelmoumen Aissaoui.
Well Aissaoui has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
