The judges for this bout are John Roberts, Bruno Lombardi and Chad Campbell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cinotti shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Mon Ami's guard.
Mon Ami pulls Cinotti in close to prevent any damage.
Cinotti is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
Cinotti is looking to work some ground and pound but Mon Ami has wrist control.
Mon Ami is looking for a triangle but Cinotti pushes his legs off easily.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Cinotti accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Cinotti is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
Cinotti throws a big right hand that misses.
Mon Ami preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Cinotti is in close to Mon Ami's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Mon Ami looking to hit a scissor sweep but Cinotti is one step ahead there.

Mon Ami manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Cinotti manages to get himself to full guard.
Cinotti tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Cinotti seems keen to control Mon Ami's posture.
Mon Ami tries to free his leg and advance position but Cinotti is retaining full guard.

Mon Ami thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Mon Ami wants to stand but Cinotti is controlling his posture from full guard.

Cinotti is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
Cinotti's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Mon Ami has gone for a leg lock! Cinotti slips out almost immediately though and dives into Mon Ami's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Cinotti is working Mon Ami over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
My spies in Winds of Winter inform me that Cinotti has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends!
Cinotti has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Mon Ami is rocked!
Cinotti loads up on a big left hand. Mon Ami felt that one! He's just covering up now, not defending himself intelligently - Cinotti looks towards the ref and unloads with 3 more big shots and the ref has no choice but to stop the fight! Mon Ami can't hide his disappointment, as Cinotti celebrates the victory.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Rodolfo Cinotti!
