Yakuza has chosen The Legend of Zelda, Overworld as his entrance music. Ichi Yakuza has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Victor Barnier's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Victor Barnier! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 68 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Ichi Yakuza! The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Trevor Gratis and William Peck.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Barnier misses with a looping right. Yakuza looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight! Yakuza fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Barnier waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Yakuza. Barnier missing with a left hand there. Yakuza was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Yakuza dives in and grabs Barnier's left leg, looking for a takedown. Barnier pushes down on Yakuza's head and hops out. Barnier throws a looping overhand right but Yakuza ducks down to avoid it. Barnier just misses with a punch to the body.
Barnier jabbing away but nothing is landing. A swing and a miss from Barnier. Barnier misses with a straight right. Yakuza tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Barnier swivels and escapes. Victor Barnier has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ichi Yakuza. Barnier throws out a loose jab but Yakuza uses good head movement to avoid it. Yakuza unleashes a big counter combination but Barnier bobs and weaves and avoids any damage. Yakuza has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout. Barnier closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Yakuza's guard. Barnier seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
That's one minute gone in the round. We've been hearing that Barnier has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish. Barnier sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Yakuza's guard. Barnier wants to pass the guard but Yakuza is defending well.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Barnier tries to pass the half guard into mount. Yakuza knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Barnier performing his best blanket impression for a moment. Barnier seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Yakuza for as long as he can get away with.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Barnier throws a jab but it's blocked by Yakuza. Barnier stuffs the takedown. Barnier ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Yakuza moves away. Excellent takedown into side control there by Barnier. Barnier scoring with punches from side control. A lull in the action here as Barnier stalls from top position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Barnier working away. Barnier lands some shots froms side control. Barnier tries to advance to mount but can't. Yakuza is being controlled here. Yakuza takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! The referee asks Barnier politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Barnier prefers to stall for the moment though. Barnier scoring with punches and elbows. Barnier moves into full mount! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Victor Barnier dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Barnier misses with a straight right. Barnier misses with an uppercut. Yakuza gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Barnier to score an easy takedown into full guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Barnier looking to control the position here, rather than advance. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Barnier works a leg free and moves into half guard. Yakuza is breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Barnier trying to control the pace. Barnier is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Yakuza can do to turn this around? Barnier passes to full mount! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Barnier content just to control the position here. Victor Barnier overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Barnier with a couple of short strikes. Barnier dominating with strikes here. Barnier controlling from the full mount. Barnier with good strikes from the mount here!
Yakuza is rocked! Barnier punishing his opponent with strikes. Yakuza is still in real trouble! Can Barnier finish him? Barnier sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Barnier lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
Barnier controlling the position easily from mount. Barnier lands a big shot there that rocks Yakuza but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Barnier tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Yakuza is bucking up trying to escape but Barnier cracks him with another couple of good strikes. Oooooh, big shot lands for Barnier! Yakuza is hurt baaadly! Barnier is firing away with more strikes - Yakuza is covering up... the ref is warning him to do something. He's just covering up though still and the ref has to step in to end the fight! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:23 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Victor Barnier! The defeated Ichi Yakuza had this to say: 'This has not been honorable. Seppuku!'.
