Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Matthew Embree (ranked 7339 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pawel Jedrzejczyk (ranked 4895 p4p, 0 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Matthew Embree! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Pawel Jedrzejczyk! The judges for this bout are Peter Branson, Santiago Holmes and Michael Johnstone.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jedrzejczyk shoots in looking for a takedown but Embree manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Jedrzejczyk's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Embree looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Jedrzejczyk is fending him off so far but Embree persists. Nope, Jedrzejczyk circles away and we're back to standing. Embree looks for a takedown but Jedrzejczyk sprawls well. Jedrzejczyk looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it. No luck with that takedown attempt from Embree. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Matthew Embree. That's going to take a lot out of him. Jedrzejczyk instigates a clinch. Embree taking a breather. Jedrzejczyk pulls guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Jedrzejczyk looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it. Embree in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Embree drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Jedrzejczyk dives on top into guard. Embree is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Jedrzejczyk accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Jedrzejczyk is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Embree sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard. Jedrzejczyk looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. Jedrzejczyk seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Jedrzejczyk pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Jedrzejczyk moves into the clinch successfully.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! The referee is keeping an eye on Jedrzejczyk - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
Jedrzejczyk has Embree pressed against the cage.

Pawel Jedrzejczyk dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Embree feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Jedrzejczyk's calf. Jedrzejczyk fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Embree wants to clinch up but Jedrzejczyk keeps it at a distance. The fight moves into the clinch position. Jedrzejczyk has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Jedrzejczyk is looking to take this one to the mat. Jedrzejczyk is trying to trip Embree. He has hold of a leg but Embree is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Jedrzejczyk persists though and gets the takedown into guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Jedrzejczyk wanted to stand there but Embree had control of the position. Embree had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Jedrzejczyk defends it easily. Embree keeping moving, preventing Jedrzejczyk from controlling successfully.

Embree wants to control but Jedrzejczyk postures up. Embree is letting Jedrzejczyk control him for a moment. Embree is looking for a sweep.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Jedrzejczyk happy to just control the position for now. Embree is trying to control Jedrzejczyk's posture but Jedrzejczyk avoids it.

Jedrzejczyk manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Jedrzejczyk is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here. Jedrzejczyk will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Embree lifts his leg as if looking to counter with a high kick. Matthew Embree has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Pawel Jedrzejczyk. Embree uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Jedrzejczyk.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Embree shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Jedrzejczyk counters with a stiff right hand. Embree throws a lazy head kick and Jedrzejczyk counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Embree fails with a takedown attempt. Embree tries to clinch but Jedrzejczyk is having none of it. Jedrzejczyk moves into range and clinches up with Embree. Embree goes for a takedown in the clinch but Jedrzejczyk prevents it.
Jedrzejczyk has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Embree is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Embree is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Jedrzejczyk to keep the fight standing.

Jedrzejczyk not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Jedrzejczyk postures up.

Matthew Embree is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Embree tries for a takedown but Jedrzejczyk sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Jedrzejczyk misses with a jab, cross combination.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Embree rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Jedrzejczyk moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Embree shoots in but Jedrzejczyk avoids the takedown attempt easily. Jedrzejczyk leaves Embree with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Embree defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Jedrzejczyk. Jedrzejczyk fails to land with a series of punches.
Embree seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter. Jedrzejczyk shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Embree sprawls well. Embree wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Jedrzejczyk gets slowly back to his feet. Jedrzejczyk throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Embree's waist but Embree gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Jedrzejczyk off to one side.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Embree shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Jedrzejczyk pinned against the cage. Jedrzejczyk gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Embree tries to clinch up but Jedrzejczyk circles away and keeps his distance. Embree fails with the takedown and Jedrzejczyk counters with a lovely shot to the body. Embree bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut. Jedrzejczyk keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Embree stuffs the takedown attempt from Jedrzejczyk. Jedrzejczyk gets slowly back to his feet. Jedrzejczyk circles away from the clinch attempt.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Embree fails to land the takedown. A slapping leg kick lands for Embree.
Thud! ouch! good body kick from Jedrzejczyk - that will leave a mark!
Embree fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Jedrzejczyk has Embree up against the cage in a clinch.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Jedrzejczyk wants a takedown but no success here.
And that's the end of the fight! Pawel Jedrzejczyk comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Jedrzejczyk has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
