The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tsuruta throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Pulatov stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Tsuruta scores with a hook to the body. Pulatov takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.

Tsuruta bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Pulatov's head.
Pulatov has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Pulatov there as he acknowledges the shot.
Pulatov swings for the body but Tsuruta moves out of range.
Tsuruta wants to counter with a clinch but Pulatov pushes him away.
Tomomi Tsuruta seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Pulatov ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.

Tsuruta stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Tsuruta has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Pulatov is landing a low percentage of strikes.

and Pulatov counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Pulatov closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.

Pulatov is rocked!
Tsuruta walks forward and throws a big overhand right! Pulatov drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes! Tsuruta swarms on him with more punches until the referee wrestles him away from Pulatov's unconscious body! Wow, that was brutal!
