Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Eugenio Dillon (ranked 23975 p4p, 0 weight class) and Max Collis (ranked 7185 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Eugenio Dillon!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Max Collis!
The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, Ron Honeybunn and Ben Watson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Collis misses with a low kick.
Collis displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Dillon.
Dillon tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Collis fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Dillon, pushing him back against the cage.

Dillon breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Dillon wants to stand up but Collis is controlling him.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Collis got a little sloppy there for a moment and Dillon has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Collis has managed to get both his arms back between Dillon's legs - danger averted.
Collis tries to free his leg and advance position but Dillon is retaining full guard.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Collis is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!
Dillon really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Collis has the hooks sunk in and you can see the will to fight slowly draining out of Dillon's body.
Collis somehow managing to miss with a strike from the back.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.



Dillon gets tackled into the cage by Collis. Collis maintains the clinch.

Dillon has Collis pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Dillon pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Collis tumbling to the mat - Dillon dives into Collis's guard.
Collis has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Collis wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.

Dillon lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Dillon connects with a nice short shot to Collis's temple.
Dillon looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Collis with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Dillon will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Collis has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Dillon is working away from the top position though.

Collis shoots and misses
letting Dillon counter with a right hand.
Dillon closes the distance and clinches up with Collis, looking for a takedown. Dillon pushes Collis against the cage but Collis circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Dillon throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Collis tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Dillon is in Collis's guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Dillon slips a nice elbow through Collis's hands, connecting with Collis's forehead.

Collis jumps guard but Dillon stands there with Collis around his waist. Collis gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Collis is on the wrong end of a couple of strikes there.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Collis shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Dillon's guard.
Dillon is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Collis is controlling him.

And that's the end of the fight!
Eugenio Dillon showed his dominance in that final round.
I think Dillon has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
