Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Khalid Al Saadoun (ranked 3290 p4p, 0 weight class) and Patrick Ronson (ranked 2535 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 7 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Khalid Al Saadoun! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Patrick Ronson! The judges for this bout are Michael Johnstone, David Hoff and Sandra Marshall.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Al Saadoun gets tackled into the cage by Ronson. Ronson maintains the clinch. Al Saadoun misses with an elbow over the top. Al Saadoun is defending well against a takedown attempt. Ronson taking a break, stalling in the clinch.
Ronson's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Ronson feints and as Al Saadoun raises his hands in defense, Ronson changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Al Saadoun has control of Ronson's left arm, preventing Ronson from doing any damage. Ronson is pushing down on Al Saadoun's leg trying to pass to half guard. Al Saadoun is fighting to maintain full guard but Ronson has managed to sneak the leg through. Ronson works his way into full mount! We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Ronson raining down hammerfists from mount. Ronson controlling the pace for now.
That's one minute gone in the round. Al Saadoun tries to hold on but Ronson postures up. A nice elbow there by Ronson. Al Saadoun on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Al Saadoun tries to get out of the position. Ronson controlling from mount. Al Saadoun takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position. Ronson controlling from the full mount. Ronson lands with some strikes. Al Saadoun knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Ronson on the ground.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ronson breaks from Al Saadoun's wrist control and lands an elbow. Ronson lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Al Saadoun hang on? The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Al Saadoun really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Ronson stands up from the dominant position, so we're back on the feet. Al Saadoun dives in for a single leg takedown but Ronson sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. The fight moves into the clinch position. Ronson breaks from the clinch.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Ronson bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Al Saadoun taking a bit of punishment here - Ronson scoring with strikes.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ronson wants to stand but Al Saadoun has his arm trapped. Ronson wants to lay and pray for a moment but Al Saadoun keeps working. Ronson decides to stand back up. Al Saadoun circles away from the clinch attempt.
Al Saadoun closes this distance looking for a takedown but Ronson circles away. Al Saadoun will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Khalid Al Saadoun. That's going to take a lot out of him. Ronson fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Al Saadoun to the ground. Ronson is now in Al Saadoun's guard. Ronson content to stall in guard here. Al Saadoun throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Ronson has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Ronson drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Ronson seems to have locked his on tight now - Al Saadoun screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Ronson, as he picks up the win!
