Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Welter Weight (ranked 2056 p4p, 237 weight class) and Adel Sadeq (ranked 1101 p4p, 144 weight class). The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Weight throws a big shot that misses.
Weight throws an off balance right hand

and Sadeq counters with a single leg into guard. Weight didn't expect that.
Sadeq throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Weight works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Weight on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Weight tries to get out of the position.
Sadeq throwing strikes from guard but Weight blocks nicely.
Sadeq throws an elbow that misses. Weight uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Sadeq's guard. Nice move by Weight!

Sadeq is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Sadeq wants to sweep here but Weight controlling him for the moment.
Weight has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Let's hope that Sadeq has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
We're seeing a lot of stalling here from Sadeq.
Sadeq's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Sadeq gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Sadeq takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

It looks like Adel Sadeq has been cut.

Sadeq tries to keep at a distance but Weight has taken the fight into the clinch.

Weight misses with the head strike.

A head punch on the inside from Weight fails to land.

Sadeq blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Weight scores with a shot to the side of Sadeq's head.
Sadeq looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Weight lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Sadeq.
Weight has a couple of punches blocked by Sadeq.
Weight throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Sadeqs head.
Weight lands with a short punch from the clinch.
Weight lands on the inside with an uppercut.

Sadeq is rocked!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Weight pushes Sadeq against the cage. Weight is working some dirty boxing. Weight pushes off with a quick right hook! Sadeq goes down! Sadeq tries to stand but stumbles back to his kness! Weight moves in to finish and the ref steps in to prevent any more damage!
