Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Tony Miyazaki (ranked 8756 p4p, 610 weight class) and Thomas Krakow (ranked 21387 p4p, 627 weight class). Both fighters really staring each other down here, as Thomas Krakow enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Tony Miyazaki! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Thomas Krakow! The judges for this bout are Johanna Lukiainen, Tarja Halkonen and Anni Minnemäki.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Krakow tries to clinch but Miyazaki moves out of range. Krakow doesn't manage to clinch there - Miyazaki circles away.
Krakow shoots in but Miyazaki avoids the takedown attempt easily. Miyazaki went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected. Krakow with a lazy takedown attempt and Miyazaki moves into the clinch. Krakow has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Miyazaki avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Tony Miyazaki has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Thomas Krakow. Krakow tries to pull guard but Miyazaki forces him back to his feet, against the cage. Krakow wants to stall.
Miyazaki is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Krakow can't fight it off and eventually Miyazaki manages to take the fight to the floor. Krakow looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard. Krakow scrambles and gets back to his feet.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Krakow closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Miyazaki's guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Miyazaki has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. Krakow is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position. Krakow misses with some punches.
Miyazaki gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground. Krakow looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Krakow has his foot on Miyazaki's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Miyazaki works his way back into a safe position though. Krakow wants to control but Miyazaki passes easily into half guard.
Miyazaki is figuring out what he wants to do next. Krakow works his way to full guard. Good work. Krakow lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Krakow seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Miyazaki working a defensive guard here.
Miyazaki has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall. Krakow slips nicely into half guard, despite the strikes coming from Miyazaki.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Krakow is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Miyazaki is just riding it out for now. Krakow eventually gives up the hold. Miyazaki wants to sweep but Krakow has passed to side control! Krakow in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time. Krakow advances nicely into full mount.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Miyazaki tries to lock up and control but Krakow gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Miyazaki gets back to half guard. Miyazaki trying to control but Krakow postures up.
Krakow works his way into full mount! Krakow looking to control but Miyazaki is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Krakow is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Thomas Krakow dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Miyazaki looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Miyazaki gets to his feet - Krakow follows without any prompting. Krakow buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Miyazaki on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere. Krakow shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Miyazaki but Miyazaki pushes him off and we're back to square one. Krakow tries to close the distance and clinch but Miyazaki swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Miyazaki went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected. Miyazaki drives through with a takedown into guard. Krakow has momentary wrist control but Miyazaki slips an elbow through the middle. Miyazaki working some strikes from top position. Miyazaki really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Miyazaki trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Miyazaki makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Miyazaki drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Miyazaki jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Miyazaki lands a couple of decent looking shots. Miyazaki is looking to stand up but Krakow won't let him. Krakow has his feet on Miyazaki's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work. Krakow has his takedown stuffed and Miyazaki moves into the clinch. Miyazaki has clasped his hands together around Krakow's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done. Miyazaki moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now. Krakow is trying to control Miyazaki's posture but Miyazaki avoids it. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Krakow regains half guard there - taking advantage of Miyazaki's attempt to lay and pray for a moment. Miyazaki is trying to control. Krakow wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Krakow tries to get to full guard but Miyazaki has control of the leg. Krakow is refusing to be controlled, as Miyazaki sits in half guard. Krakow is trying to get back to full guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Krakow is concentrating on defense, preventing Miyazaki from advancing position. Miyazaki passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Krakow! Miyazaki wants to control but instead Krakow manages to regain half guard. Krakow is looking for a sweep. Miyazaki is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Krakow has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Miyazaki is working away from the top position though. Miyazaki is pressing down on Krakow's thigh, looking to free his foot. Krakow is holding on for now.

Miyazaki will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. The referee calls for the fighters to work.

Miyazaki goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Krakow has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Miyazaki but great work by Krakow. Miyazaki wants to control but Krakow postures up. Krakow happy to just control the position for now.

Miyazaki is looking for a sweep. Thomas Krakow has got the better of the ground game so far. Krakow wants to take a breather but Miyazaki manages to regain guard - a lesson learnt for Krakow. That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Krakow shoots in and gets a takedown into Miyazaki's guard. Miyazaki is trying to control the position but Krakow postures up. Miyazaki looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Miyazaki wants to control but Krakow passes easily into half guard.
Miyazaki tries to get to full guard but Krakow has control of the leg. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Miyazaki tries to kick Krakow off but Krakow keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Krakow seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Miyazaki does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Tony Miyazaki. I think Miyazaki has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
