Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Rys Rizzo (ranked 5654 p4p, 400 weight class) and Matt White (ranked 5859 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Rys Rizzo! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Matt White! The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, and Don Winkell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rizzo misses with a hook. Rizzo takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
White checks a leg kick. Rizzo throws a leg kick that is checked and White counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Rizzo gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and White counters with a lovely shot to the body. White connects with a body shot. White throws a head kick but Rizzo moves out of range.
Rizzo was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Rizzo tries to clinch up. White throws a fast counter high kick but Rizzo manages to duck under it in time. Rizzo throws a lazy head kick and White counters with a left to the body. Rizzo takes one to the chin there. Rys Rizzo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
That's one minute gone in the round. White connects with a high kick. Rizzo doesn't succeed with the takedown and White counters with a series of strikes. Rizzo will be more careful next time no doubt. Rizzo misses with a takedown attempt and White counters with a one-two to the body. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Rys Rizzo. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Rizzo is defended easily by White. White works over Rizzo's head and body with a nice combination. Rizzo is looking to clinch. White throws a nice inside leg kick. White throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Rizzo misses with a takedown and White connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Rizzo fakes a jab and throws a low kick but White checks it well. Rizzo misses with a shot to the body and White counters with a two punch combo. Rizzo is looking to clinch but White is avoiding it.
Nice jab there from White. White lands with a cross. Good leg kick by White there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

Rizzo throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around White's waist but White gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Rizzo off to one side. White connects with an inside leg kick. White lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. A head kick by Rizzo misses and White counters with a left to the body. Rizzo rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and White makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Rizzo really felt that one! Rizzo has his takedown stuffed and White counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. White is working the combinations to good effect here. Rizzo wants to clinch but White slips to the side and White counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Matt White dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Rizzo with a poor takedown and White counters with a lovely shot to the body. Rizzo takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
Rizzo looks to clinch and White counters with a left to the body. White tries to sprawl but Rizzo drives through with a takedown into half guard. White pushes Rizzo off and gets back to his feet. Rizzo misses with the body kick and White cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Matt White seems to be getting the better of the standup. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Rizzo throws a lazy head kick and White counters with a nice uppercut. White misses with a head kick.
A low kick from Rizzo is predictable there and White counters with a nice low kick that buckles Rizzo's knee momentarily. White lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Rizzo backs up against the cage.
That's one minute gone in the round. White jabs at Rizzo's body. Rizzo throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and White cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. White has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight. Rizzo throws a sloppy head kick and White moves out of range easily. White throws a fast counter high kick but Rizzo manages to duck under it in time. White gets tackled into the cage by Rizzo. Rizzo maintains the clinch. White wants to get back to striking at distance but Rizzo won't allow it.
Rizzo has had enough of the clinch but White keeps him there for the moment. White is trying to break the clinch but Rizzo is controlling him. White pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Rizzo feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. White is looking to stand back up but Rizzo counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by White. Rizzo trying to control from half guard but White is working away.

White really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Rizzo. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. White kicks Rizzo off and gets back to his feet. White is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. This has been an exciting period of action! Rizzo throws a combination that misses and White counters with a three punch combo that has Rizzo backing up. Rizzo nods at White to acknowledge the strikes.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Rizzo tries for a takedown but White circles away easily and White counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. Rizzo shoots in but doesn't get the takedown enabling White to counter with a crisp jab. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Rys Rizzo. That's going to take a lot out of him. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. White keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.

White darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch. White scoring well with a low kick there.

Matt White showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

Rizzo shoots for a takedown but White saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Despite the aggression on White's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter. A punch combination from Rizzo misses. White unleashes a big counter combination but Rizzo bobs and weaves and avoids any damage. White lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt. Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by White!
Rizzo looks like he's developed a pretty tasty lump over his left eye. He'll need to avoid taking much more damage to that. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! White feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Rizzo's calf. Rizzo tries to grapple but his opponent circles and White counters with a right hand to the body.
And that's the end of the fight! Matt White comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got White winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
