Coming up we have a welterweight Tycoon World Grappling Championship rules bout between Russell Paulman (ranked 4821 p4p, 0 weight class) and Timur Umarov (ranked 1261 p4p, 0 weight class). Paulman's entrance music is War is my Love . A fine choice. Umarov has chosen 2Pac - When We Ride On Our Enemies as his entrance music. There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.
This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the welterweight division. Introducing today's competitors. The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, William Peck and Elvis Blanc.
The fighters bow as they face eachother in the middle of the mat and we are under way.
Paulman tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Umarov defends well and Paulman ends up having to push Umarov into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Paulman looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Paulman has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Umarov felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.

Umarov slips a leg in and gets back to half guard.
Paulman content to control rather than advance.
Paulman tries to pass to full mount but Umarov defends it.

Paulman can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Umarov is looking to escape.
Umarov is desperately trying to improve his position but Paulman has a good base and remains in mount.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Paulman seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Umarov for as long as he can get away with.

If it seems like I'm not saying a lot, it's just because Paulman is stinking the place up with his stalling.
