Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Nate Diaz (ranked 4661 p4p, 438 weight class) and Davion Motley (ranked 4498 p4p, 427 weight class). Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Nate Diaz! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Davion Motley! The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Motley closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Diaz's guard. Motley throws a strike but Diaz rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Diaz trying to control the position from guard on top but Motley is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Diaz makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Motley is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Diaz postures up.
Diaz wants to stand but Motley has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Diaz working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. Motley utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Diaz accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Diaz throwing strikes from guard but Motley blocks nicely. Diaz keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Motley's head. Diaz postures up in Motley's guard and throws a big left but Motley blocks it. Diaz definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Diaz avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Motley must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Motley stands up from Diaz's guard - Motley perhaps looking for a knockout. Horrible takedown attempt by Motley or perhaps it was just good defense by Diaz, which made it look bad. Motley closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Diaz to the mat! Diaz manages to get full guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Motley postures up in Diaz's guard and throws a big left but Diaz blocks it. Diaz is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Motley postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Diaz is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Motley, into his guard.

Motley shoots in looking for a takedown but Diaz manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Motley's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Motley shoots in for a takedown. Nate Diaz is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Diaz looking to sit in guard and control but Motley gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Nate Diaz. Well Diaz has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win...
