Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Agustin Benitez (ranked 3655 p4p, 304 weight class) and Bobby Sands (ranked 8015 p4p, 436 weight class). Sands comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Irish Soldier Song ... Free & Green kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Agustin Benitez!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 15 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Bobby Sands!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Alan Glass and George Francis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Agustin Benitez.
Well Benitez has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
