Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Addition BySubtraction (ranked 5218 p4p, 214 weight class) and Nate Griffin (ranked 3615 p4p, 164 weight class). Nate Griffin struggled to make weight for this fight. He only made it down to 137.3lbs at the first attempt and had to take the additional two hours to make the official bout weight. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! BySubtraction moves into the clinch successfully.
A quick uppercut on the inside from BySubtraction. Griffin blocks a body shot from BySubtraction. BySubtraction throws an elbow that misses.
BySubtraction ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. BySubtraction no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. BySubtraction looking for a guillotine here but Griffin defends easily.
BySubtraction had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Griffin defends it easily. BySubtraction has Griffin pulled in close to control his posture. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. BySubtraction escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. That's one minute gone in the round. BySubtraction looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Griffin puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard. BySubtraction pushes down on Griffin's leg and manages to get into half guard. BySubtraction is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Griffin doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time BySubtraction. BySubtraction is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Griffin is just riding it out for now. BySubtraction eventually gives up the hold. Griffin looks winded!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. BySubtraction performing his best blanket impression for a moment. This is a sustained period of stalling by BySubtraction. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Addition BySubtraction dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
BySubtraction lands with a good body shot. Good standup being displayed there by BySubtraction as he connects with a hook. BySubtraction bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Griffin's head. Griffin misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
BySubtraction thumps Griffin with a low kick. BySubtraction scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. BySubtraction is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Griffin knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. BySubtraction staying calm. Griffin is breathing heavily. BySubtraction continues to hold on tight.

The referee will try and keep them active though. BySubtraction tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no BySubtraction has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Griffin being controlled for a moment.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Griffin is flailing around, obviously not happy about being mounted. BySubtraction locks hold of one of his arms and spins for an armbar. He's got it! Griffin is forced to tap!
