Coming up we have a welterweight Tycoon World Grappling Championship rules bout between Jeremy Sullivan (ranked 710 p4p, 96 weight class) and Waldo Claudiano (ranked 3621 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!
This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the welterweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of New York, with a TWGC record of 1 wins and 1 losses; Jeremy Sullivan! And in the blue corner, fighting out of Las Vegas, with a TWGC record of 11 wins and 5 losses; Waldo Claudiano! The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Alec Ball and Yves DeLean.
The official calls the fighters to the middle and the contest is under way. Claudiano clinches up against the cage. Sullivan is fighting off a takedown attempt but Claudiano is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Sullivan to the mat. Sullivan regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat. Sullivan is in a tricky position. We've heard reports from his gym mates at Touch Of Death Combat Academy that he's been drilling escapes, so let's see if he can get back to his feet. Claudiano content to stall in guard here. Sullivan will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Sullivan has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Claudiano has passed into side control.

You can see the frustration on Sullivan's face as Claudiano controls the position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Sullivan wants to control but Claudiano postures up. Sullivan is positioning himself to get back to half guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Claudiano is refusing to be controlled, as Sullivan sits in half guard. Claudiano tries to roll over but Sullivan keeps him under control. Claudiano is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Sullivan's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Sullivan's back! Score +4 for clean sweep to past guard: Sullivan (2) vs (9) Claudiano The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. I really don't envy Sullivan right now.
Claudiano is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Sullivan knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Sullivan for a finish. Claudiano is controlling the position but Sullivan somehow manages to roll and ends up with half guard.
