Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
15 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Otto Geisler! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
11 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Lennart Lennartsson! The judges for this bout are John Kavanagh, John Roberts and Dean Styles.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Geisler takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor. Geisler looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Lennartsson misses with a left hand and Geisler connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Lennartsson is defended easily by Geisler. A quick step to the side and Geisler tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect. Geisler misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Lennartsson.
Lennartsson has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Lennartsson there as he acknowledges the shot. Lennartsson throws a right and a left that both miss. Lennartsson scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Geisler doesn't seem bothered though. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Geisler ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Lennartsson moves away. Lennartsson looks like he wants to counter punch here. Geisler misses with a two punch combination.

That's one minute gone in the round. Geisler takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Geisler throws a jab but it's blocked by Lennartsson. Lennartsson swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made. Geisler slips a straight right by Lennartsson. Geisler appeared to be looking to counter that last move with a leg kick. Lennartsson rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Geisler moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Lennartsson jabs at Geisler's body. Lennartsson checks a leg kick. Lennartsson takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Lennartsson slips a straight right by Geisler. Lennartsson stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. Otto Geisler seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Geisler throws a lazy right hand but Lennartsson sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Geisler ducks under a wild hook from Lennartsson.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Lennartsson fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. Geisler lands a nice hook to Lennartsson's body. Lennartsson takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Lennartsson misses with a takedown attempt and Geisler counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Lennartsson digs a good body shot into Geisler's ribs. Lennartsson throws a jab when Geisler was well out of range. Lennartsson misses with a lunging right hand
and Geisler counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Geisler, as that shot connected.
Geisler throws out a loose jab but Lennartsson uses good head movement to avoid it. Geisler scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent. A looping hook to the body misses from Geisler. Lennartsson does a little dance to reset his feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lennartsson gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Geisler. Geisler throws a poor cross that misses
and Lennartsson cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Geisler swings widly with a right hand
and Lennartsson counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Lennartsson with a lazy takedown attempt and Geisler counters with a straight right hand. Otto Geisler has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Lennart Lennartsson. Geisler turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick. Geisler is really peppering his opponent's head with punches. Lennartsson avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Lennartsson let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land. Geisler connects with a crisp jab. Otto Geisler is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Lennartsson moves out of range as Geisler throws a body kick.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Nice defenses there by Lennartsson. Geisler waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Lennartsson. Lennartsson ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Lennartsson is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Geisler with a body shot. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Geisler lands a nice hook to Lennartsson's body. Lennartsson takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. Geisler throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Geisler takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Lennartsson misses with a hook. Lennartsson doesn't succeed with the takedown and Geisler counters with a straight punch to the midsection. Geisler lands with a good body shot. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Otto Geisler dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Lennartsson staying out of range there. As Geisler backs off Lennartsson throws a huge counter combo but Geisler manages to avoid it all. Geisler is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Lennartsson. Geisler throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Geisler throws a right and a left that Lennartsson avoids nicely. Geisler lands an overhand right. Geisler looks to land a right hand but Lennartsson moved out of range. Lennartsson works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Geisler swings and misses with a shot to the body and Lennartsson counters with a beautiful punch that sends Geisler to the canvas!

That's one minute gone in the round. Lennartsson postures up in Geisler's guard and throws a big left but Geisler blocks it. Oh Geisler is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Lennartsson content to stall in guard here. Geisler seems to have got his legs back now. Lennartsson throwing strikes but missing. Lennartsson working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Lennartsson lands a couple of digs. Lennartsson looking to sit in guard and control but Geisler gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Geisler prevents Lennartsson from getting back to his feet. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Geisler wants to stand but Lennartsson has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Geisler showing good wrestling skills to control the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Geisler wants to control from the top but Lennartsson keeps moving. Geisler looking to sit in guard and control but Lennartsson gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Lennartsson postures up in Geisler's guard and throws a big left but Geisler blocks it. Lennartsson trying to control but Geisler is working from the bottom. Geisler utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Lennartsson is working Geisler over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Lennartsson is looking to work some ground and pound but Geisler has wrist control. The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Lennartsson rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Geisler counters with a stiff right hand. Otto Geisler is winning the standup battle so far. Geisler throws a shot from downtown. Lennartsson moves away and avoids it. Lennartsson throws out a counter right but Geisler avoids it with no problem. Lennartsson catches Geisler with a right, a left, a right. It's raining punches and Geisler forgot an umbrella! Another punch and he's down. This one is over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:40 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Lennart Lennartsson! After winning the bout, Lennart Lennartsson thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
