Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Gato Wali (ranked 23786 p4p, 487 weight class) and Demichell Savilo (ranked 23307 p4p, 463 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Gato Wali! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Demichell Savilo! The judges for this bout are , Don Winkell and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Wali connects with a jab. Wali tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Savilo swivels and escapes. Savilo gets tackled into the ropes by Wali. Wali maintains the clinch. Savilo tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Wali smiles and moves away.
Savilo shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Wali as he avoids it easily. Wali jinks towards his opponent looking like he wants to counter with a mid kick but doesn't commit. Savilo swats away the attempt to clinch by Wali. Savilo stuffs the takedown attempt from Wali. Wali gets slowly back to his feet. Wali forces Savilo back against the ropes and clinches. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. The pace really dropping off here, momentarily. Wali is trying to drag Savilo to the mat but Savilo just about manages to keep his footing. He used the ropes to his advantage there. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Gato Wali. That's going to take a lot out of him. Wali drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Savilo jumps guard but Wali turns him against the ropes and keeps the fight standing. Wali doesn't land with the attempted body shot.

Wali keeping moving, preventing Savilo from controlling successfully. Savilo is pushing down on Wali's leg trying to pass to half guard. Wali is fighting to maintain full guard but Savilo has managed to sneak the leg through. Savilo trying to control from half guard but Wali is working away. Savilo is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Wali is looking to control Savilo's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Wali avoid being mounted? Savilo is looking to take a break and control but Wali is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Wali is looking for a sweep. Savilo is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Wali is trying to stand up here but Savilo is controlling him well. Wali manages to get to full guard.
Wali will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Savilo has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Wali is proving hard to escape from. Savilo preventing the sweep. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Savilo is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Wali really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Wali shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Savilo steps in looking to counter with the mid kick but it doesn't connect. Savilo blocks a head kick by Wali.
No luck for Wali with that takedown attempt. Wali wants to clinch and Savilo counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Wali shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Savilo pinned against the ropes. Savilo gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Savilo dives in and grabs Wali's left leg, looking for a takedown. Wali pushes down on Savilo's head and hops out. Wali is looking for a counter combo. Savilo throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Savilo tries for a takedown but Wali circles away easily so Wali counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Savilo has a closed guard, preventing Wali from standing up. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Wali pushes down on Savilo's leg and manages to get into half guard. Savilo really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Wali. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Savilo is refusing to be controlled, as Wali sits in half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Gato Wali will probably get the nod. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Wali. Wali fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
As Wali backs off Savilo throws a huge counter combo but Wali manages to avoid it all. Savilo wants to clinch. Wali tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Savilo swivels and escapes. Savilo let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land. Wali throws a half hearted mid kick. Savilo misses with a few strikes there.
Wali seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Savilo shoots in but no luck this time. Savilo shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Wali but Wali pushes him off and we're back to square one. Savilo looks for a takedown but Wali sprawls well. Gato Wali has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Demichell Savilo.
That's one minute gone in the round. Savilo dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Wali. That did some damage! Wali defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Savilo. Savilo gets tackled into the ropes by Wali. Wali maintains the clinch. Savilo tries to pull guard but Wali won't allow it.
Wali jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Savilo walks away with a smile on his face. Wali gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Wali is trying hard to land a takedown here. Savilo sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Wali scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Savilo tries to kick Wali off in order to stand up. Wali Avoids the leg push though and dives into side control. Wali is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Savilo can do to turn this around? Wali wants to stand but Savilo is controlling his arm. Savilo wants to control but Wali postures up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Savilo is breathing heavily. Wali tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily. Wali working away. Wali trying to control the action but Savilo is working from the bottom. Savilo looks to move to half guard but instead Wali has passed into mount! Damn! We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Wali lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Savilo is squirming around, avoiding Wali's attempts to control the action. Wali working away from the top, dropping strikes. Nope, Savilo has managed to escape the submission attempt.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Wali is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Savilo is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. Wali wants to take his opponent's back but Savilo doesn't allow it. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Wali jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Savilo manages to avoid the submission attempt. Wali wants to control but Savilo is keeping him busy. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Gato Wali dominated that second round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!

Wali chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Savilo can pounce on him.
Savilo misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Wali tries to close the distance and clinch up against the ropes but Savilo paws at him with a jab and circles away. Wali with a poor takedown and Savilo counters with a two punch combo. Nice sprawl there from Savilo as Wali shoots in. Savilo keeps the fight on the outside. Wali slips a jab and a cross from Savilo.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Savilo stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Savilo wants it to stay on the feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Gato Wali. That's going to take a lot out of him. Wali has his takedown stuffed and Savilo holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Savilo keeps control of Wali as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Savilo pulls guard. Wali throws a big elbow that misses. Gato Wali overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Wali looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Savilo wants to stand and escape but Wali is having none of it. Wali throwing strikes but missing. Wali is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Savilo looking for a sweep. Not yet Savilo, not yet. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Savilo trying to control the position.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Savilo shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Wali as he avoids it easily. Savilo gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Wali to score an easy takedown into full guard. Wali drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Wali jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Wali wants to control from the top but Savilo keeps moving.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Wali tries to free his leg and advance position but Savilo is retaining full guard. Wali sitting in guard here, content to control. Savilo not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Wali has a takedown stuffed. Savilo is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own. Demichell Savilo seems to be getting the better of the standup.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Savilo gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Wali counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Savilo! Wali connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Savilo some visible discomfort.

Wali tries for a kimura but Savilo is defending well. Demichell Savilo has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Gato Wali is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Wali is looking to take a break and control but Savilo is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Gato Wali. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Wali, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
