Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Gregg Cline (ranked 5630 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jack Hammer (ranked 5597 p4p, 521 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Hammer's choice of entrance music: Coming home. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Gregg Cline! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jack Hammer! The judges for this bout are John Kavanagh, Joseph Jones and David Schapiro.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hammer pushes Cline up against the cage in a clinch. Cline working aggressively here.
Cline pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Hammer looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Cline manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage. Hammer jumps guard.
Hammer trying to keep a closed guard but Cline is proving a slippery customer.
Hammer is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Cline is aware though and is defending well. Cline really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Cline throws an elbow that misses. Hammer uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Cline's guard. Nice move by Hammer! Cline is adopting a defensive guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cline wants to stand up but Hammer is controlling him. Cline controls Hammer momentarily but Hammer frees himself. Hammer scores with a decent looking elbow strike. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Cline escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Hammer gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Hammer postures up and lands a big shot to Cline's brow.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Hammer is working Cline over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Cline manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Hammer manages to get himself to full guard.
Cline landing some decent shots from guard. Cline trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Hammer looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Hammer tries to land a sweep but no joy. Cline will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Hammer is working an open guard so Cline takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Jack Hammer seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
That's three minutes gone in the round. A punch combination from Cline misses. Hammer looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple. Hammer fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Cline sprawls well initially but Hammer persists and gets the takedown into half guard. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Hammer lands a nice short elbow. Hammer missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Cline has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Hammer is on him like a limpet, forcing Cline back against the cage. Hammer pulls guard successfully.
Cline throws a big elbow that misses. Hammer wants to sweep but no luck. Hammer is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Cline defends well. Hammer looks winded!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Cline scoring with some ground and pound. Cline works over Hammer with some ground and pound from guard. Cline stands up from Hammer's guard - Cline perhaps looking for a knockout. Hammer has Cline up against the cage in a clinch.
Hammer breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Jack Hammer will probably get the nod. That's time! Back to the action!
Hammer moves into range and clinches up with Cline. Hammer ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Hammer no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. Cline is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. Cline avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Cline stands and steps away. Hammer gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. The fight moves into the clinch position. Cline has Hammer pressed against the cage, preventing Hammer from circling away and getting back to striking at range.

Hammer throws a nice looking combination but Cline bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Hammer closes the distance and clinches. Cline pressing his opponent against the cage. Hammer lands a takedown into guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hammer stopping the sweep attempt from Cline. Cline throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.
Cline escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Hammer gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Hammer trying to control the position from guard on top but Cline is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Hammer stands and throws Cline's legs to the side, diving into side control. Hammer is looking to take a break and control but Cline is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Cline manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. Cline on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Hammer is trying to work for a kimura but Cline is defending well.
Hammer is breathing heavily. Cline tries to get to full guard but Hammer has control of the leg.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Hammer looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Cline with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Hammer gets to his feet - back to striking we go! Hammer fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Cline, pushing him back against the cage. Hammer lands a nice elbow from the clinch. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Hammer keeps control of Cline as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Hammer manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.
Hammer keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Cline's efforts to push away. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jack Hammer showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Hammer is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. Hammer tries to stand and escape but Cline is controlling the position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Hammer looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Cline with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Hammer has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Hammer tries to stand but his arm is trapped. Hammer working over Cline with some ground and pound. Cline looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.

That's one minute gone in the round. Hammer scores with a big shot! Cline's head bounced off the canvas with a huge thud! More strikes land and the referee has jumped in to save Cline! He was hurt real bad - good stoppage!
