The judges for this bout are Vladimir Khabensky, Aleksandr Martynov and Sergei Dronov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cage throws a front kick that sends Ray stumbling back into the cage.
Stevie Ray seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Cage gets caught flat footed, as Ray shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Ray is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Cage not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Cage is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Ray working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Cage's head.
Ray lands a couple of digs.
Ray postures up and lands a big shot to Cage's brow.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Cage looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Ray with a nice head shot there.
Ray chips away with some ground and pound.
Cage is rocked!
Ray scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
Cage is still in real trouble! Can Ray finish him?
Ray landing some decent shots from guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Ray gets to his feet and stands over Cage, holding his ankles. He dives in with a big left hand that connects! Cage felt that one! Ray unloads more punches and elbows and this one is over! The ref has dived in to save Cage from any more punishment!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Stevie Ray!
During a confident post fight interview, Stevie Ray thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
