Canseco is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Death Grips - Lil boy. Jose Canseco looks lathargic as he enters the arena. Wake up son, you're about to have a fight!

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jose Canseco !
The judges for this bout are Roger Salmon, Ryoma Takatsuka and Paul Gruel.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Friedrichsen misses with a shot to the body
and Canseco counters with a stiff right hand.
Friedrichsen looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Friedrichsen misses with a kick to the body
and Canseco counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
A good leg kick by Friedrichsen.
Friedrichsen throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Canseco sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Canseco takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Friedrichsen throws a wild body kick that Canseco sees coming a mile off.
Canseco let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land.
Canseco takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Canseco has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight.
Canseco looks winded!
Canseco tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Canseco checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
Canseco shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.


It looks like Jose Canseco has been cut.
Friedrichsen throws a series of punches but Canseco avoids them all with ease.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Canseco uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Friedrichsen has time to react.
Nice defenses there by Canseco .

That's one minute gone in the round.
Friedrichsen misses with a series of wild punches.
Canseco throws an overhand right that lands on Friedrichsen's shoulder, as Friedrichsen tries to avoid the shot.
Friedrichsen ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Friedrichsen swings for the body but Canseco moves out of range.
Friedrichsen is looking to wear down Canseco with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.
Friedrichsen looks to land a left hand but Canseco moved out of range nicely.
Canseco drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Friedrichsen throws the left hand but Canseco avoids the punch easily.
Friedrichsen misses with an uppercut. Canseco saw that one coming.

Friedrichsen cracks Canseco with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Canseco looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Friedrichsen finish him?


Canseco is rocked!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Friedrichsen misses with a jab, cross combination.
Canseco unleashes a big counter combination but Friedrichsen bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.
Canseco lands a nice shot to the body.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Friedrichsen thows a left - swing and a miss!
Friedrichsen rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Canseco counters with a stiff right hand.
Friedrichsen jabs at Canseco 's body.
Friedrichsen misses with the combination.
Canseco throws a counter combo.
Friedrichsen throws a right hand that Canseco ducks under and follows up with a left that Canseco also avoids with ease.
Friedrichsen is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Canseco .
Canseco swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.

Friedrichsen feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Canseco sprawling to the canvas! Canseco rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Friedrichsen finish him?!
Canseco is still on wobbly legs! Can Friedrichsen finish him?
Friedrichsen jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Canseco seems to have recovered his senses.
Friedrichsen misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Canseco .
Friedrichsen wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Both fighters step back and shake their arms out. Friedrichsen engages and cracks Canseco with a massive lead left hook - Canseco tumbles to the floor, out cold! What a shot! Friedrichsen is delighted - all that hard work in training paid off!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Erik Friedrichsen!
Erik Friedrichsen very nearly forgot to thank Zenith Nutrition (160q/$200) amongst all the excitement of his win but just as the interview came to a close, he screamed their name. Hopefully he'll get a few nice freebies in the mail as a thank you.
