Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Dalton Mcguire (ranked 24971 p4p, 0 weight class) and Aleister Sullivan (ranked 5398 p4p, 416 weight class). Aleister Sullivan has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Dalton Mcguire's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Dalton Mcguire! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Aleister Sullivan! The judges for this bout are Roosa Järviläinen, Ben Zyskovitsi and Marco Blurström.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sullivan looks to land a combination but Mcguire avoids it well. Sullivan fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Mcguire, pushing him back against the cage. Mcguire wants to break free but Sullivan has control.
Sullivan successfully pulls guard.
Mcguire is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Mcguire wants to stand but Sullivan has a closed guard, so he can't escape. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Sullivan is looking to stand up but Mcguire isn't so interested in that idea. Mcguire controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sullivan is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Mcguire is controlling him. Sullivan has a closed guard, preventing Mcguire from standing up. Sullivan working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Mcguire doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Mcguire manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Mcguire might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Mcguire gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. Mcguire drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Sullivan is being controlled here. Mcguire wants to stand but Sullivan has his arm trapped. Sullivan is trying to control Mcguire's posture but Mcguire avoids it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Mcguire wants to stand but Sullivan has his arm trapped. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Mcguire is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Sullivan is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Mcguire wants to lay and pray for a moment but Sullivan keeps working. Sullivan is looking for a sweep. Sullivan is still trying to improve position. Mcguire wants to stand but Sullivan has his arm trapped. Sullivan wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Mcguire controls the position. Sullivan is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Mcguire off and has taken his back! Sullivan goes for a risky armbar from back mount and it's not paid off. Mcguire escapes and is now in half guard on top. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Mcguire in particular looking to stall. Mcguire wants to stand but his hand is trapped. Sullivan uses the opportunity to regain full guard. Mcguire seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Sullivan is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Mcguire not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Mcguire really is a fat lump. Mcguire wants to control from the top but Sullivan keeps moving. Mcguire is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Sullivan is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Sullivan working a defensive guard here.

A close round but Aleister Sullivan will probably get the nod. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Sullivan fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Mcguire sprawls well initially but Sullivan persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Sullivan is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
It looks like Dalton Mcguire has been cut. Mcguire trying to control but Sullivan postures up.
Sullivan seems to be looking for submissions.
Mcguire makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Mcguire. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Sullivan trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from! Mcguire stays in close to Sullivan's body and controls the position. That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Sullivan is pulling down on Mcguire's head. It's preventing any offense from Mcguire, at least for the moment. Sullivan has his foot on Mcguire's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Mcguire works his way back into a safe position though. Mcguire trying to control but Sullivan is working from the bottom. Mcguire trying to stand up but can't free himself from Sullivan's guard. Mcguire stopping the sweep attempt from Sullivan. Sullivan wants to stand and escape but Mcguire is having none of it.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. A momentary lapse in concentration from Mcguire enables Sullivan to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Mcguire manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Sullivan is breathing heavily. Sullivan throws a big right hand that misses. Mcguire is pulling down on Sullivan's head to control his posture. Mcguire wants to sweep but no luck.

Sullivan working the ground and pound. Mcguire is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Sullivan is one step ahead and moves to full mount! Sullivan looking for a guillotine from mount but Mcguire is having none of it. Mcguire tries to hold on but Sullivan postures up. Sullivan is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Mcguire is surviving well by controlling Sullivan's body position as best he can. Mcguire wants to use the cage to get back to his feet here.

Sullivan stands up and beckons Mcguire to join him on the feet. Sullivan fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Mcguire manages to avoid it. Aleister Sullivan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Mcguire gets tackled into the cage by Sullivan. Sullivan maintains the clinch. Sullivan manages to break the clinch.

We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Sullivan instigates a clinch. Sullivan is trying to trip Mcguire. He has hold of a leg but Mcguire is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Sullivan persists though and gets the takedown into guard. Mcguire wants to control the position but Sullivan says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard. Sullivan trying to control from half guard but Mcguire is working away. Sullivan is thwarting Mcguire's attempts to control the position. Sullivan decides to stand and escape the position. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Sullivan gets a double leg takedown into Mcguire's guard.
And that's the end of the fight! Aleister Sullivan comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Sullivan has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
