Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Carrol Hebert (ranked 23254 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mohammed Sleiman (ranked 5447 p4p, 0 weight class). Mohammed Sleiman told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, Carrol Hebert! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Mohammed Sleiman! The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, Andrew Berry and Daniel Bishop.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hebert shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Sleiman throws a series of punches but Hebert moves out of range. Sleiman drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Hebert is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Sleiman off and has taken his back! Sleiman tries to roll but Hebert sticks to his back.
The crowd hopeful of a finish here - Hebert's supporters are on their feet, screaming for him to go for the rear naked choke.
Sleiman trying to control but he's just got himself in more trouble. Sleiman is covering up but some of the strikes from Hebert are getting through and doing damage.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Sleiman tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell! Sleiman sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sleiman gets full guard. Sleiman is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage. Sleiman wants to stand but Hebert is controlling the position. Sleiman trying to control the position here. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Sleiman can do anything to dispel that myth. Sleiman throwing strikes off his back to little effect.
Sleiman looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Hebert being controlled here momentarily. Sleiman striking from his own guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Sleiman is pulling down on Hebert's head to control his posture. Sleiman working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Hebert doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Hebert manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Hebert trying to control the position from guard on top but Sleiman is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Sleiman on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Sloppy strikes from Hebert. Those never looked like landing. Sleiman drives through with a takedown into Hebert's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position. Hebert pushes Sleiman off and scrambles back to his feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Sleiman closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Hebert's guard. Hebert has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Sleiman has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage. Sleiman breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Sleiman clinches. Hebert tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Sleiman just stands there and leans against the cage. Sleiman pulls guard. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Sleiman is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Sleiman keeping moving, preventing Hebert from controlling successfully. Sleiman is trying to keep Hebert in close.
Hebert looking to control the position here, rather than advance. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Sleiman controlling Hebert's posture.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Carrol Hebert will probably get the nod. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Hebert darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Sleiman moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Hebert trying to control but Sleiman is working from the bottom. Sleiman will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
Hebert has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Sleiman keeping moving, preventing Hebert from controlling successfully. Sleiman pulls Hebert in close to prevent any damage.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hebert won't allow Sleiman to sweep him here. Hebert trying to control but Sleiman is working from the bottom. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Hebert is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Sleiman is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. Sleiman is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Sleiman pulls Hebert in close to his closed guard and prevents Hebert from doing any damage or advancing position.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Sleiman moves into the clinch successfully.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Hebert misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Hebert tries to pull guard but Sleiman won't allow it.
Sleiman's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Hebert shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Hebert looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Sleiman is fending him off so far but Hebert persists. Nope, Sleiman circles away and we're back to standing. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Carrol Hebert. That's going to take a lot out of him. Sleiman avoids the head kick by Hebert.
Hebert lands with a kick to the temple. Sleiman shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?" Jab, jab by Sleiman - just one landing. Excellent takedown into side control there by Sleiman. Sleiman is trying to get an arm triangle but Hebert is defending well.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Sleiman is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Hebert knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Sleiman has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Hebert keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Mohammed Sleiman showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's time! Hebert's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!
Sleiman tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Hebert was well out of range. Poor timing from Sleiman. Hebert leaves Sleiman with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Sleiman shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Hebert but Hebert pushes him off and we're back to square one. Sleiman blocks a head kick by Hebert.
Sleiman tries a quick counter leg kick but Hebert is wise to it. Hebert is looking to clinch. Sleiman wants to counter the offense by Hebert and move into the clinch position. Sleiman misses with a body shot.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Sleiman gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Hebert cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Carrol Hebert has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mohammed Sleiman. Hebert throws a nice looking combination but Sleiman bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sleiman tries a head kick but it misses.
Hebert lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Sleiman circles away quickly and effectively. Hebert shoots in and drives through. Sleiman sprawls well. Sleiman shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Hebert as he avoids it easily. Sleiman takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Sleiman misses with a takedown and Hebert counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Sleiman throws a right and a left that both miss. Sleiman takes a swing at Hebert's ribcage but misses. Hebert fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Sleiman avoids it really well and circles away.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Sleiman tries to clinch there but Hebert circles away.
A little feinted left hand from Hebert on the counter but he doesn't commit to it. Sleiman shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Hebert counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. Sleiman shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Sleiman takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Hebert plants his feet and lands a nice head kick! Sleiman slips a jab and a cross from Hebert.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Hebert throws a series of punches but Sleiman moves out of range. Sleiman misses with a takedown attempt and Hebert counters with a lovely straight right hand! Carrol Hebert is winning the standup battle so far. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Hebert is defended easily by Sleiman.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hebert closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Sleiman's guard. Sleiman scrambles and gets back to his feet.
Sleiman fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Hebert sprawls well initially but Sleiman persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Sleiman wants to take a breather but Hebert is having none of it.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The fighters are battling for position here. Hebert manages to regain full guard. Nice work. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Sleiman would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Sleiman looking to pass the guard. Sleiman postures up in Hebert's guard and throws a big left but Hebert blocks it. Sleiman working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Hebert's head. Hebert manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage. Hebert tries to pull guard but Sleiman holds him up against the cage and eventually Hebert drops back down to his feet.
And that's the end of the fight! Carrol Hebert showed his dominance in that final round. I think Hebert has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
