Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rory MacDonald (ranked 6018 p4p, 434 weight class) and Silas Tournament (ranked 5492 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Rory MacDonald! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Silas Tournament! The judges for this bout are Donatello Bradman, Francis DeMontford and John Mangel.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! MacDonald shoots in for a double leg but Tournament sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Tournament throws out a counter right but MacDonald avoids it with no problem. Tournament throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. MacDonald tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Tournament is in MacDonald's guard. Tournament postures up.
Tournament chips away with some ground and pound. MacDonald has momentary wrist control but Tournament slips an elbow through the middle. Tournament landing some decent shots from guard. MacDonald is rocked! Tournament is looking to pass into half guard but MacDonald pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now MacDonald is in guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Tournament working for a triangle but MacDonald defends it easily.

MacDonald got a little sloppy there for a moment and Tournament has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, MacDonald has managed to get both his arms back between Tournament's legs - danger averted.
That's two minutes gone in the round. MacDonald is fighting to break Tournament's control of his arms but Tournament is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment. Tournament bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in MacDonald's guard. MacDonald wants to sweep here but Tournament controlling him for the moment. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. MacDonald can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Tournament controls the pace. Tournament passes MacDonald's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Tournament landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. Tournament has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Tournament looks to score some points with some ground and pound. Tournament seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. MacDonald manages to get to full guard.

It looks like Tournament might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it. Tournament postures up.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Tournament's corner. There ya go! There ya go! MacDonald is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Tournament is aware though and is defending well. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Tournament lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Tournament seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. MacDonald is breathing heavily. Tournament is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Silas Tournament dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Tournament gets a double leg takedown into MacDonald's guard. MacDonald seems keen to control Tournament's posture. Tournament works over MacDonald with some ground and pound from guard. MacDonald looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Tournament trying to control but MacDonald is working from the bottom. Tournament content to stall in guard here. Tournament's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Tournament stands up over MacDonald, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

Tournament keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of MacDonald's head. Tournament works over MacDonald with some ground and pound from guard. Tournament has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Tournament lands a couple of elbows. Tournament makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. MacDonald working a defensive guard here.
Tournament sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed MacDonald's guard. Tournament is looking for a kimura but MacDonald is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Tournament to get the leverage. Tournament looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks MacDonald with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Oh MacDonald is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Tournament slips a nice elbow through MacDonald's hands, connecting with MacDonald's forehead.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Tournament takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Tournament connects with a nice short shot to MacDonald's temple. MacDonald trying to control from the bottom.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Tournament in particular looking to stall. MacDonald kicks off Tournament and gets to his feet. MacDonald misses with a takedown attempt - Tournament sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. MacDonald seems to have got his legs back now. Tournament missing with a left hand there. MacDonald was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. MacDonald slips a jab from Tournament.

Nice work there by Tournament. Tournament is stalling in the full guard. Tournament working some strikes from top position. MacDonald is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Tournament defends well. Tournament lands a couple of decent looking shots. Tournament scoring with punches to the head and body.
