The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.
Horrible takedown attempt by Shaffer or perhaps it was just good defense by Jones Jr, which made it look bad.
Jones Jr steps in looking to clinch after the strikes miss from Shaffer.

Jones Jr connects with a nasty looking knee right to Shaffer's face.
It looks like Gil Shaffer has been cut.
Jones Jr utilising his Muay Thai to score with a knee to the body.
Shaffer is breathing heavily.
Jones Jr working the clinch nicely. Shaffer is working for position but Jones Jr cracks him with a big knee to the head! Shaffer crumples up against the cage and Jones Jr lands two more shots before the ref can save Shaffer! This one is all over!
