Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Frennick Lupo (ranked 5461 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dragon Dream (ranked 4805 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Frennick Lupo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Dragon Dream!
The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, James Ackerman and James Atkins.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lupo leaves Dream with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Lupo closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Dream quickly recovers to half guard.
Dream trying to control from the bottom.
Lupo throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Lupo passes the guard and advances to mount!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Lupo controlling his opponent.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Dream wants to hold on but Lupo pushes him away.
Lupo controlling the pace for now.

Lupo trying to control but he's not successful this time.
Dream is desperately trying to improve his position but Lupo has a good base and remains in mount.

Lupo takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Lupo tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Lupo wants to control the pace but Dream is squirming around nicely.

Dream tries to hold on but Lupo pushes him away.
Dream is looking to get to half guard.

Dream can't escape the position.
Lupo cracks Dream with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Dream can do anything to dispel that myth.

Dream is squirming around, avoiding Lupo's attempts to control the action.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Lupo takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Lupo trying to control but Dream is having none of it.
Lupo tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Lupo can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Dream is looking to escape.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Lupo is landing with some decent strikes but Dream is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!


Dream keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Lupo fails with a takedown attempt.
Dream tries to counter by closing the distance.
Lupo doesn't succeed with the takedown

and Dream counters with a crisp one two that drops Lupo! Dream thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Lupo to his feet! Lupo is in big trouble!
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Frennick Lupo. That's going to take a lot out of him.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Dream goes for a double leg but Lupo avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Lupo continues to drive forward.
Lupo throws a quick counter kick to the body but Dream avoids it.
Lupo tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Dream swivels and escapes.
Dream changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Lupo tries to avoid it but Dream manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Lupo to the ground. Lupo escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Dream tries a head kick but it misses.
Lupo half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.

Dream lands a left and a right that send Lupo crashing to the mat, dazed. Dream thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!


Lupo is rocked!


It looks like Frennick Lupo has been cut.
Frennick Lupo is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Dream tries to clinch there but Lupo circles away.
Oh Lupo is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Dragon Dream seems to be getting the better of the standup.

Lupo looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Lupo controlling the pace.
Lupo seems to have got his legs back now.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Lupo has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

Dream tries to roll over but Lupo keeps him under control.
Lupo trying to mount his opponent but Dream defends it.
Lupo prevents Dream from improving his position.
Dream has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Lupo is working away from the top position though.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Dream is not content to let Lupo control the position.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
The fight stays on the outside here - Dream looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Lupo throws a big counter combination but Dream scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.

Dream rushes Lupo and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Dream gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Lupo.
Dream tries for a takedown. No joy.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Dream pulls Lupo into guard.
Lupo slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Dream is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
Dream is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Lupo is controlling him.
Lupo engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Lupo stopping the sweep attempt from Dream.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Dragon Dream showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!


Dream closes the distance and clinches up with Lupo, looking for a takedown. Dream pushes Lupo against the cage but Lupo circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Dream shoots for a double leg takedown but Lupo sprawls well. He's pushed Dream's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Lupo is looking to counter with a shot to the body.
Dream throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped

so Lupo counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Lupo controls from within his opponent's guard.
Lupo trying to control the position from guard on top but Dream is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Dream is looking to get full guard. It looks like he might be successful but at the last minute Lupo jumps into side control!

Frennick Lupo overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Lupo tries to control but Dream wriggling away.
Lupo is really struggling to control Dream but he's trying to hold on to the position.

Lupo is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Dream is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Dream tries to reverse the position but Lupo maintains control.
Lupo lands a big shot there that rocks Dream but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Dream is really trying hard to get back to his feet.
Dream is looking to get to half guard.
Dream wants to hold on but Lupo pushes him away.
Lupo fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!

Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Dream tries to hold on but Lupo pushes him away.

And that's the end of the fight!
Frennick Lupo showed his dominance in that final round.
I think Lupo has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
