Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Anton Malina!
The judges for this bout are Russell Pearce, Lou da Vinci and Jonathan Paton.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Malina tries to bum rush Collier with a series of wild strikes but Collier uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Collier drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Malina has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Collier has passed into side control.
Malina is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Collier landing strikes.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Malina wants to control but Collier postures up.

Collier thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Malina is trying to get back to half guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Malina can't do much from the bottom here.
Collier trying to control the action but Malina is working from the bottom.
Malina is trying to control Collier's posture but Collier avoids it.
Malina tries to buck Collier off but Collier is having none of it.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Collier in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows.
A control attempt from Malina but he's now mounted!
Malina is squirming around, avoiding Collier's attempts to control the action.
Malina looking to escape from mount but he's given up his back!

Collier patiently working for the choke. Which fighter will keep their nerve here?
Malina looks to control his opponent's hands but he's not mananging it at the moment.
Malina is defending well here and trying to improve his position.
Malina is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Collier is trying to stick to Malina's back but Malina is turning into Collier. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Collier's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Malina.
Malina throws an elbow that misses. Collier uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Malina's guard. Nice move by Collier!

Collier cracks Malina with a solid left hand.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Malina is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Malina looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Collier passes into side control.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Collier is putting a hurting on Malina here, landing some big shots from side control.
Collier throwing strikes but missing, from side control.
A control attempt from Malina but he's now mounted!
Collier sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Malina is trying to stand but he's just given Collier his back.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Nelson Collier dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Malina misses with the body kick

and Collier counters with a single leg into guard. Malina didn't expect that.

Collier stands up from guard. Let's bang!
Anton Malina seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Malina lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Collier takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?

Collier gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Malina to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Malina trying to control the position from guard on top but Collier is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Collier has control of Malina's left arm, preventing Malina from doing any damage.
Malina won't allow Collier to get back to his feet.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Collier bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Malina's guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Malina wants to improve his position but instead Collier has moved into half guard.

Malina is looking to regain full guard. He's left an arm up in the air though and Collier has latched onto it... Big trouble! Collier pivots for an armbar - it's in tight and it Malina is tapping in no time flat! Great counter grappling there from Collier!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:39 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Nelson Collier!
