Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Chief Grey (ranked 5648 p4p, 491 weight class) and Petey Williams (ranked 5388 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Chief Grey! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Petey Williams! The judges for this bout are Bart Greer, Michael Johnstone and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Grey is looking to clinch but Williams is avoiding it.
Williams looks like he wants to counter punch here. Williams closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Grey is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Williams happy to just control the position for now. Williams working the ground and pound. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Grey is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Williams asserts his dominance and retains side control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Williams stands up and beckons Grey to his feet. Williams feints and as Grey raises his hands in defense, Williams changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Williams slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Williams loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Williams controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Williams's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. Grey tries to land a sweep but no joy. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Williams drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Williams working away.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Grey is looking for a sweep. Williams decides to stand back up. Williams throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Grey is looking for a counter combo. Grey loads up on a big right hand but Williams slips the punch. Williams throws a series of punches but Grey moves out of range. Grey appears to be looking for a big counter. Grey will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Williams feints the counter takedown. Jab, jab by Williams - just one landing. Williams tries to clinch but Grey moves out of range. Williams shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Williams showed some decent athleticism there. Grey trying to control here.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Williams working the head and body with strikes. Williams is working for a kimura but Grey is defending it quite comfortably.
Grey wants to control but Williams is keeping busy.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Williams escapes and gets back to his feet. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Petey Williams dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Excellent takedown into side control there by Williams. Grey bucks up and tries to throw Williams off but instead Williams has got his back! Williams has the hooks sunk in and you can see the will to fight slowly draining out of Grey's body.
Petey Williams has got the better of the ground game so far. Grey rolls, trying to escape but Williams keeps control of the position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Williams has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Good control from Williams. Williams really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Grey. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Williams throwing strikes from the back - he gets a warning from the referee for striking the back of the head but all these shots are hurting Grey!
That's one minute gone in the round. Grey tries to escape but Williams has the hooks in and won't let him break free. Williams is looking for the choke from the back position but Grey is controlling his hands well. A bit of a pause in the action here. Williams controlling the positon. You can see the frustration on Grey's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.
Williams has good solid back control here. Williams is hanging on to Grey's back as he tries to escape.
That's two minutes gone in the round. What can Grey do to escape this position? He's going to have to figure it out pretty quick if he wants to stay in the fight!

Williams is working the ground and pound. Can Grey escape? Williams patiently working for the choke. Which fighter will keep their nerve here? Williams has his opponent's back and is working for the choke. Williams is breathing heavily.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Williams doesn't have the hooks in and Grey manages to turn into his guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Grey trying to control the position from guard on top but Williams is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Grey throws a strike but Williams rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Williams drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Williams jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Williams makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Grey controls Williams momentarily but Williams frees himself. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Williams slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Grey controls Williams momentarily but Williams frees himself. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Petey Williams showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round!
Williams decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Grey is trying to control Williams's posture. Williams takes advantage of the lull and advances to side control. He also appears to have an arm triangle here! Uh oh, big trouble for Grey! Williams is rotating here... this could be the end... Grey is out! Williams has ended this one emphatically! Great submission!
