Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Nard Betker, Paul Aken and Albert Achterberg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Banner tries to clinch but Bobby moves out of range.
Banner's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Banner duly obliges.
Banner scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Banner looks to land a combination but Bobby avoids it well.
Bobby appears to be looking for a counter takedown.
Banner works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Banner fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Banner misses with the combination.
Bobby is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Banner.

Bobby seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

Banner tries to hold on but Bobby postures up.
Banner really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Bobby . If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Bobby takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Bobby 's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
Banner is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Bobby seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Banner for as long as he can get away with.
Banner really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Bruce Banner will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Banner throws a hook to the side of Bobby 's head but Bobby sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Banner lands with an uppercut that bounces Bobby off the cage and back into range.
Banner fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Banner digs a good body shot into Bobby 's ribs.
Bruce Banner seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Bobby swats away the attempt to clinch by Banner.
A decent looking cross lands there for Banner.

Banner throws a series of strikes that have Bobby backpedaling.

Bobby feinted with a counter takedown.
Banner has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.
Banner tries to bum rush Bobby with a series of wild strikes but Bobby uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Banner throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped

and Bobby counters with a shoot takedown. Banner fights it but they end up in guard.
Banner is looking to stand back up but Bobby counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Banner.

Bobby moves into full mount! Banner won't be happy about that!

This has been an exciting period of action!

Bobby has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Banner is in all sorts of trouble here.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Further stalling from Bobby .
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Bobby is working close to his opponent, looking to work a submission by the looks of things. Oh, he's managed to get a guillotine from mount as his opponent reached up! That looks tiiiiight! Will he tap? YES, he's tapped! Impressive submission by Bobby !

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:48 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Marley Bobby !
A determined Marley Bobby didn't want to dwell on this fight in his post fight interview. Instead he was more keen to state he wants a title shot. Let's see if he gets it!
