Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Kron Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ricardo Riveira (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kron Gracie is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Kron Gracie!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Ricardo Riveira!
The judges for this bout are Matheus Silva, Alexandre Firmino and Edson Gomes.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Riveira fails to land the takedown.
Gracie tries for a takedown but Riveira circles away easily
and Riveira counters with a flying knee. Nice.

Riveira scores with a takedown into Gracie's guard.
Gracie is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Gracie tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Riveira must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Gracie wants to stand up but Riveira is controlling him.
Riveira wants to pass the guard but Gracie is keeping the position.

Gracie working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Riveira doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Riveira manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Gracie working for a triangle but Riveira defends it easily.

Gracie wants to improve his position but Riveira is controlling well.

Gracie flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.

Riveira is working for a kimura here but Gracie manages to reverse the position and he's now in Riveira's guard.

Riveira is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Riveira tries to close the distance and clinch up but Gracie swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Gracie tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Riveira swivels and escapes.
Ricardo Riveira seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Gracie shoots in but Riveira avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Gracie wants to clinch up but Riveira keeps it at a distance.
Kron Gracie is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Riveira lands with a straight right. Gracie didn't see that one coming.

Riveira closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Gracie is looking to reverse the position.

Riveira thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Gracie manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.

Riveira is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Gracie doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Riveira.

Riveira is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Gracie wants to control but Riveira is keeping busy.
Riveira wants to lay and pray for a moment but Gracie keeps working.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Gracie wants to sweep but Riveira has passed to side control!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Ricardo Riveira showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!



Riveira closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Gracie to the mat! Gracie manages to get full guard.

Riveira drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Gracie dives on top into guard.
Gracie in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.

Riveira has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Gracie can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Riveira throws his legs up looking for a submission but Gracie uses it to pass to side control.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Riveira wants to control but Gracie postures up.

Gracie wants to control but Riveira is keeping him busy.

Gracie wants to stand but Riveira is controlling his arm.
Riveira is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Gracie off and has taken his back!

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Riveira quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Gracie has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Riveira celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.
