Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Testy Three!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
4 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Petko Petkov!
The judges for this bout are Reed Andrews, Alyssa Summers and Bruno Lombardi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Three misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Three throws a head kick that half lands.
Petkov drives through with a takedown into Three's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
Petkov is in close to Three's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Petkov decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Petkov forces Three back against the cage and clinches.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Petkov can't get the takedown.
Three is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Petkov to keep the fight standing.
Three tries for a takedown. No joy.

Three jumps guard but Petkov stands there with Three around his waist. Three gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Three prevents the takedown attempt.
Petkov drops down looking for an ankle pick but Three pulls his leg out and moves away.
Nice body kick from Petkov.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Three.
Three shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Petkov counters with a nice body kick.
Three is breathing heavily.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Petkov dives in and grabs Three's left leg, looking for a takedown. Three pushes down on Petkov's head and hops out.
Petkov bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.
Petkov throws a body kick that misses.
Three has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Petkov.
Testy Three seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A solid body kick from Petkov.
Three throws a wild body kick that Petkov sees coming a mile off.
Petkov wants to counter the offense by Three and move into the clinch position.
Three gets tackled into the cage by Petkov. Petkov maintains the clinch.
Petkov pulls guard successfully.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Petkov pulls Three in close to prevent any damage.
Petkov manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage.

Petkov escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Petkov avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Despite the aggression on Petkov's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.
Petkov scores with a takedown into Three's guard.
Three wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Petkov manages to pass to side control.
Petkov has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Petkov drops an elbow to the side of Three's head.
Petkov passes the guard and advances to mount!
That's four minutes gone in the round.

Petkov postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Three looks a forlorn figure.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Petkov gets to his feet and calls his opponent to stand. Here come the fireworks!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's time! Back to the action!
Three wants to clinch up but Petkov keeps it at a distance.
Three misses with a two punch combination.
Petkov closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Three tries to push off, looking to stand up, but Petkov manages to move to mount!
Three knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Petkov on the ground.
Three has left one of his arms exposed and Petkov doesn't need a second invitation. He's isolated it and locked on a tight armbar. Three screams and taps out, obviously in a lot of pain. Hopefully there isn't permanent damage to that arm.
