Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Ed Ricoop (ranked 3402 p4p, 0 weight class) and The Bomberman (ranked 6104 p4p, 0 weight class). Ricoop's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Bad to the Bone. On his way into the cage it seems that Ed Ricoop has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Ed Ricoop seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ricoop tries to clinch up but Bomberman circles away and keeps his distance.
Ricoop scores with a shot to the body.

Ricoop drives through with a takedown into guard.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Bomberman can do anything to dispel that myth.
Ricoop is fighting to break Bomberman's control of his arms but Bomberman is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

Ricoop gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Ricoop takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.

It looks like Ed Ricoop has been cut.
Bomberman swats away the attempt to clinch by Ricoop.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Ricoop with a lazy takedown attempt
and Bomberman counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Ricoop lands a nice looking body shot.

Bomberman scores with a leg kick.

Ricoop shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Bomberman is trying to defend but Ricoop finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Bomberman wants to get back to full guard.

Ricoop stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being.
The Bomberman is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Ricoop shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Ricoop drops an elbow to the side of Bomberman's head.

Ricoop decides to return to a standing position.
Ricoop drops his hands momentarily and Bomberman takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Ricoop goes for a double leg but Bomberman avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Bomberman continues to drive forward.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Ricoop shoots in for a takedown but Bomberman shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Bomberman was about to counter that last move with a leg kick but changes his mind.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ed Ricoop. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Ricoop is breathing heavily.
Bomberman scores with a jab to the body.

Bomberman feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Ricoop sprawling to the canvas! Ricoop rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Bomberman finish him?!

Ricoop is rocked!
Ricoop throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Bomberman counters with a right hand from hell and Ricoop is out cold! A vicious knockout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:44 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). The Bomberman!
As The Bomberman got his breath back, he grabbed the microphone and managed to blurt out the following: eat my ass'.
In defeat, Ed Ricoop stepped up to the mic, saying 'You always have 15% left in the tank. Never give up.'.
