Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Maximilian Kirby (ranked 3167 p4p, 363 weight class) and Kim Duk Koo (ranked 1752 p4p, 211 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Don Winkell and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kirby falls off balance throwing a combination
and Duk Koo counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Duk Koo tests Kirby's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Duk Koo looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Duk Koo pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Kirby back to the cage. Duk Koo follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
Kirby throws a sloppy head kick and Duk Koo moves out of range easily.
Kirby misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Kirby throws out a loose jab but Duk Koo uses good head movement to avoid it.

Kirby feints and then cracks Duk Koo's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Duk Koo down.

Kirby shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Duk Koo has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Kirby is on him like a limpet, forcing Duk Koo back against the cage.
Kirby is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.

Kirby fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Duk Koo looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

Kirby throws a solid leg kick but Duk Koo takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Kirby.

Duk Koo digs a right hand into Kirby's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Kirby's gas tank.

Kirby tries to score a body lock takedown but Duk Koo shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
We've been hearing reports that Kirby has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.

Kirby seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Duk Koo does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Kirby looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Duk Koo with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Duk Koo lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Kirby circles away quickly and effectively.

and Duk Koo cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Good leg kick by Kirby there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Kirby dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Duk Koo. That did some damage!

Kirby closes the distance and clinches up with Duk Koo, looking for a takedown. Kirby pushes Duk Koo against the cage but Duk Koo circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Kirby does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.

Duk Koo tries to bum rush Kirby with a series of wild strikes but Kirby uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Duk Koo lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Duk Koo connects with a combination that backs up Kirby into the cage. Duk Koo lands a flurry of punches that gets past Kirby's guard. Kirby is down and the referee has seen enough. It is all over! Duk Koo bursts into tears - this win obviously means a huge amount to him.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:53 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Kim Duk Koo!
As Kim Duk Koo got his breath back, he grabbed the microphone and managed to blurt out the following: BAD BOY MMA.....Dont sleep on us'.
