Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Brian Jones (ranked 706 p4p, 81 weight class) and Nathan Wallace (ranked 475 p4p, 51 weight class). Jones comes into the arena with Take my hand blaring out of the sound system. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
25 - 20 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Brian Jones! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
18 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Nathan Wallace! The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Don Winkell and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Wallace throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Wallace misses with a few strikes there.
Jones feinted there with a counter leg kick. Wallace throws a body shot but no joy. Wallace slaps away a takedown attempt from Jones, before circling back to the center of the mat. Jones looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Wallace throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Jones looked to counter that last move with a leg kick but didn't pull the trigger. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Wallace tries to sprawl but Jones drives through with a takedown into half guard. Jones seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Wallace does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
That's one minute gone in the round. Wallace is trying to stand up here but Jones is controlling him well. Wallace won't allow Jones to pass to mount. Jones is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Wallace sees it coming and defends easily. Wallace has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Jones is on him like a limpet, forcing Wallace back against the cage. Jones lands a right hand. Wallace misses with a hook to the ribs.
Wallace tries to throw a body punch but Jones avoids it by throwing Wallace back against the cage. Wallace throws a punch but it's blocked by Jones. An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Wallace. Jones misses with a punch on the inside.
Wallace tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage. Jones gets control of Wallace's arms and successfully pulls guard. Jones will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back. Wallace decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jones keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Wallace. Jones tried to counter with a leg kick but Wallace avoided it. Jones on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. Jones definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Nathan Wallace seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Wallace lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Jones has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Jones and we're back underway with a touch of gloves. Wallace scores with a punch to the head. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. A leg kick checked by Jones. Jones fails with a takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Brian Jones. That's going to take a lot out of him. Wallace will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Wallace bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick. Jones avoids a kick to the body.
Jones throws a quick counter head kick but Wallace was just out of range. A head kick misses from Wallace. That kick from Wallace tenderised Jones's leg. Jones is trying to keep his angry face on. Jones tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Wallace manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Wallace misses with a jab, cross combination.
Wallace has tried to improve his agility in the runup to this fight.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Wallace misses with a kick to the body and Jones counters with an outside leg kick.
A leg kick checked by Jones. Jones blocks the body kick.
Wallace misses with a kick to the body and Jones counters with a low kick, right behind Wallace 's knee. Jones takes a kick to the body and keeps moving. Jones takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Wallace misses with an uppercut. Jones saw that one coming. Wallace misses with a series of wild punches.
Jones shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Wallace manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Nathan Wallace dominated that round. That's time! Jones's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Wallace misses with a straight left. Jones takes a head kick and keeps coming.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Jones is defended easily by Wallace. Jones shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Wallace defends it nicely. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Wallace misses with a wild body shot. Wallace stuns Jones with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jones fails miserably with a takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Brian Jones. That's going to take a lot out of him. Jones moves out of range of the strikes. Jones is looking to counter punch. Jones shoots in looking for a takedown. Wallace tries to sprawl out of it but Jones keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Wallace manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Jones ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Jones moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
It looks like Nathan Wallace has been cut. Wallace has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Wallace cracks Jones with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jones gets a double leg takedown into Wallace's guard. Brian Jones overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Jones looking to pass the guard. Wallace is looking to stand up but Jones isn't so interested in that idea. Jones wants to control from the top but Wallace keeps moving. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Jones won't allow Wallace to get back to his feet. Jones trying to control the position from guard on top but Wallace is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Jones is really struggling to control Wallace but he's trying to hold on to the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jones is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Wallace is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. Jones passes into half guard. Jones is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Wallace defends it well. Wallace is trying to stand up here but Jones is controlling him well. Jones is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Wallace won't allow Jones to pass to mount.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Wallace is not content to let Jones control the position.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Wallace looks to throw the jab but Jones is out of range. Wallace leaves Jones with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Jones throws a leg kick which misses Wallace's front leg but catches the back leg as Wallace tries to avoid it. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but Nathan Wallace will probably get the nod - 10:9. The cut man is working on Nathan Wallace's cut. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round!
Jones fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Wallace doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter. Jones closes this distance looking for a takedown but Wallace circles away. Jones shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Wallace as he jumps to the side. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Brian Jones. That's going to take a lot out of him. Jones fails miserably with a takedown attempt. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Jones throws a left and a right that both miss
and Wallace connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Wallace throws the kick towards the body but Jones avoids it. Wallace pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. It looked like Jones was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Wallace.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jones takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
Jones staying out of range there. Wallace swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Jones counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Jones slips a jab from Wallace. Wallace connects with a jab. Wallace misses with a jab, cross combination.
Jones was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger. Wallace swings for the body but Jones moves out of range.
Nathan Wallace is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Wallace stuffs the takedown attempt from Jones. Jones gets slowly back to his feet. Nathan Wallace is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jones fails with a takedown attempt. Wallace misses with a hook. Jones ducked under it nicely. Jones shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Wallace but Wallace pushes him off and we're back to square one. Nice straight punches there by Wallace. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Wallace. Jones shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Wallace pinned against the cage. Wallace gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Brian Jones has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jones feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Wallace's calf. Wallace looks to score with a jab to the body but Jones is just out of range. A lazy body kick from Wallace and Jones counters with a nice low kick that buckles Wallace's knee momentarily. Jones shoots in but no luck this time. Jones avoids a punch combination nicely.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Jones shoots in for a double leg but Wallace sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Jones takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Wallace lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent. Wallace connects with the punch. Wallace throws a nice outside leg kick. Wallace cracks Jones with a good jab. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Jones walks into a straight right hand from Wallace. Wallace scores with a jab to the head.
And that's the end of the fight! Nathan Wallace comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Wallace winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
