Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Kerry Donaldson (ranked 24645 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rubin Floy (ranked 5846 p4p, 0 weight class). Rubin Floy will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Kerry Donaldson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Rubin Floy! The judges for this bout are Leandro Rodrigues, Thiago Cunha and Seu Braga.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Floy tries to close the distance and clinch but Donaldson swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Floy darts in trying to clinch and Donaldson counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. Donaldson dives in and scores a takedown into Floy's guard. Floy pushes Donaldson off and gets back to his feet.
Floy fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Donaldson sprawls well initially but Floy persists and gets the takedown into half guard. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Donaldson is looking to improve his position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Floy thows a huge punch but Donaldson dodges it nicely.
Floy throwing shots but Donaldson is blocking nicely. Floy is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

Floy working over Donaldson with some ground and pound. Donaldson looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Donaldson has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Floy is working away from the top position though. Floy not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Floy throws a strike but Donaldson avoids it easily and moves to full guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Floy lands a couple of digs. Floy makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Donaldson will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
Floy working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Floy is in close to Donaldson's body, working some short punches and elbows. Floy landing some decent shots from guard. Donaldson has momentary wrist control but Floy slips an elbow through the middle. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. That's three minutes gone in the round. Floy with a flurry of punches that miss. Donaldson pulls Floy in close to his closed guard and prevents Floy from doing any damage or advancing position. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Donaldson keeping moving, preventing Floy from controlling successfully.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Donaldson misses with a takedown attempt - Floy sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Floy steps in looking to clinch after the strikes miss from Donaldson. Donaldson tries for a takedown but Floy circles away easily and Floy counters with a lovely straight right hand!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Floy closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Donaldson sneaks back into half guard. Donaldson is positioning himself well to prevent Floy advancing to mount. Donaldson wants to control but Floy is keeping busy and won't allow it. Floy is trying to work for a kimura but Donaldson is defending well.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Floy not landing any meaningful shots this time. Floy is thwarting Donaldson's attempts to control the position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Rubin Floy dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Donaldson with a lazy takedown attempt and Donaldson takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world. Floy fails in his attempt to clinch. Floy is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Donaldson's half guard. Donaldson keeps control of the position for the meantime. Floy trying to control the action but Donaldson is working from the bottom. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Floy sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Donaldson defending well though. Donaldson wants to control but Floy passes into side.
That's one minute gone in the round. Floy working away. Donaldson is working to avoid the ground and pound but Floy connects with a decent elbow. Donaldson gets back to half guard. Donaldson keeping hold of Floy's head, controlling as best he can. Floy is nestled in close to Donaldson, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Floy is trying to control. Donaldson wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Floy works his way into full mount! Donaldson really wants to buck Floy off and get back to his feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Floy has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Donaldson's face.
Donaldson is rocked! Donaldson takes a big shot to the dome and his eyes have rolled back in his head! Floy's killer instinct has kicked in as he finishes the fight with more strikes. Impressive finish.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:37 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Rubin Floy!
