Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, David DeCastro!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Lynn Steinheiser!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, Steven Brown and Phil Schofield.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.
DeCastro stuffs the takedown.

Steinheiser looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for DeCastro!
Steinheiser lands an elbow.
Steinheiser looks up at the clock and then as DeCastro takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Steinheiser smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
DeCastro is working to avoid the ground and pound but Steinheiser connects with a decent elbow.
DeCastro knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Steinheiser on the ground.

It looks like David DeCastro has been cut.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Steinheiser prevents DeCastro from escaping the position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Steinheiser has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Steinheiser is putting a hurting on DeCastro here, landing some big shots from side control.

Steinheiser stands up and beckons DeCastro to his feet.

Steinheiser shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. DeCastro is trying to defend but Steinheiser finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
DeCastro tries to kick Steinheiser off but Steinheiser keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
DeCastro on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if DeCastro tries to get out of the position.
Steinheiser scores with a couple of good hammerfists.
Steinheiser lands strikes from half guard.
Steinheiser lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
DeCastro wants to get back to his feet.
Steinheiser working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
DeCastro is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Steinheiser scores with a couple of nice shots.


David DeCastro's cut is getting worse.
Steinheiser is nestled in close to DeCastro, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.


DeCastro is rocked!


Jeez, David DeCastro's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at David DeCastro's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:19 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Lynn Steinheiser!
A very excited looking Lynn Steinheiser made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
