Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Lucas Barber (ranked 25208 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sage Northcut (ranked 6764 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Lucas Barber has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Lucas Barber seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Sage Northcut!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Don Winkell and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Northcut rushes Barber and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Northcut turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Northcut manages to end up in side control.
Barber is trying to buck Northcut off.
Northcut trying to control the position but Barber is working away.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The referee asks Northcut politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Northcut prefers to stall for the moment though.
Northcut stands up and beckons Barber to his feet.
Northcut shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Barber napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Barber is trying to escape and get back to his feet.
Northcut lands a few punches from side control.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Northcut wants to control but Barber is keeping him busy.
Northcut decides to take the fight back to the feet.
A thudding body kick lands there by Northcut!
Sage Northcut seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Northcut gets the takedown into side control.
Barber is pushing Northcut's head away, looking to escape. Northcut manages to hold on to the position though.
Northcut lands a few punches from side control.
Northcut scoring with punches and elbows.
Northcut has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
Northcut has managed to clinch.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Northcut is trying to stall.
Barber trying to land knees to the body.
Northcut gets control of Barber's arms and successfully pulls guard. Northcut will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
Northcut not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Barber postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
Barber stands up over Northcut, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Barber avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Northcut had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Barber defends it easily.

Northcut wants to get back to his feet but Barber is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Barber working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Northcut is trying to control the position but Barber postures up.
Barber postures up in Northcut's guard and throws a big left but Northcut blocks it.
Barber trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Barber lands a couple of elbows.
Northcut is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Barber is controlling him.
Barber loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Barber keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Northcut's head.
Northcut wants to sweep here but Barber controlling him for the moment.
Northcut is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Barber is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Barber is working hard here to advance position.
Northcut seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Barber does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Northcut scores with a couple of good hammerfists.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Sage Northcut dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Northcut connects with a body shot.
Northcut fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Barber to the ground. Northcut is now in Barber's guard.
Barber is looking to stand up but Northcut isn't so interested in that idea.
Barber knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Northcut on the ground.
Northcut wants to stand up, so he's looking to wriggle free of Barber's closed guard. He's half up but Barber has locked on to an arm! Uh oh! Barber pivots and extends the arm, Northcut falls face first to the mat and taps??... does he?? YES! He's tapping! Excellent counter grappling there by Barber! Well done that man!
