Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Wagner Resende (ranked 1807 p4p, 228 weight class) and Big Asznee (ranked 2010 p4p, 248 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Asznee's choice of entrance music: The Game. Wagner Resende has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
8 - 6 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, Wagner Resende! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
14 - 6 - 0, fighting out of London, Big Asznee! The judges for this bout are Chris Dean, Winston Howard and Ron Honeybunn.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Resende throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Asznee tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Resende is in Asznee's guard. Asznee had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Resende defends it easily. Resende controlling from the top position. Resende trying to control the position from guard on top but Asznee is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Asznee tries to land a sweep but no joy. Resende controls from within his opponent's guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Resende tries to free his leg and advance position but Asznee is retaining full guard. Resende stays in close to Asznee's body and controls the position. Resende tries to free his leg and advance position but Asznee is retaining full guard. Asznee is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
That's one minute gone in the round. Resende drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Resende jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Resende wants to pass the guard but Asznee is keeping the position. Resende passes Asznee's left leg - he's now in half guard. Resende looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Resende looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Resende prevents Asznee from improving his position. Resende tries to pass the half guard into mount. Asznee knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Resende controlling the action here. Asznee has hold of a guillotine but he's not going to be able to crank on it really with only half guard, so it's no trouble for Resende. Oh but Asznee has got full guard now! Oh boy! This one could be over very soon! Resende goes limp - he's gone! Asznee jumps up and celebrates with the crowd - fantastic submission finish!
