Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Willem Alexander (ranked 5284 p4p, 0 weight class) and Obi Wan Kenobi (ranked 5195 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Willem Alexander! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Obi Wan Kenobi! The judges for this bout are Chris Dean, Skip Squint and Winston Howard.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Alexander drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles. Alexander gets the takedown into side control. Alexander decides to stand back up. Alexander steps back and let's Kenobi get back to his feet. Kenobi uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Alexander has time to react. A lazy body kick from Kenobi and Alexander counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Alexander manages to break the clinch.
Kenobi stuffs the takedown attempt from Alexander. Alexander gets slowly back to his feet. Kenobi fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Alexander manages to avoid it. Willem Alexander seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Kenobi moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Kenobi ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Alexander moves away. Kenobi throws a body kick that misses. Kenobi swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Alexander lands with a kick to the ribs.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kenobi throws a looping overhand right but Alexander ducks down to avoid it. Alexander manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Kenobi on his heels. He'll look to pass Kenobi's guard now, I'm sure. Alexander sitting in guard, not really doing much. Alexander drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Alexander jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Kenobi wants to improve his position but instead Alexander has moved into half guard.
Alexander is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Alexander moves into full mount! Kenobi won't be happy about that! Kenobi avoids a series of strikes thrown by Alexander.
Alexander unloads with some shots from mount but Kenobi bucks and avoids them well.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Kenobi tries to improve his position but instead Alexander has taken his back! Good control from Alexander. Alexander controlling well, preventing Kenobi from escaping the position.
Kenobi is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Alexander gets his way!
Alexander has good solid back control here.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Alexander has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Kenobi fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Alexander closes the distance and pushes Kenobi back into the cage. Alexander breaks the clinch.
A jab from Kenobi misses. Willem Alexander is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Kenobi misses with a straight left. Kenobi throws a nice looking combination but Alexander bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Kenobi throws a hook but Alexander blocks it. Alexander is looking to counter the offense by Kenobi and move into the clinch. Alexander moves out of range of the strikes. Kenobi fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Alexander manages to avoid it. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Alexander walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head. Alexander listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut. Kenobi takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Alexander fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Kenobi now looks to counter with a shot at the body.
That's one minute gone in the round. Alexander moves into the clinch. Alexander stalling the fight.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Kenobi misses with some punches.
Alexander breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Kenobi throws a sloppy head kick and Alexander moves out of range easily. Alexander moves into range and clinches up with Kenobi. A head punch blocked on the inside by Alexander. The referee is keeping an eye on Alexander - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
Alexander jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Kenobi walks away with a smile on his face. Alexander gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kenobi throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Kenobi misses with a kick to the body and Alexander counters with a three punch combo that has Kenobi backing up. Kenobi nods at Alexander to acknowledge the strikes. Kenobi lands a glancing blow to the side of Alexander's head. Kenobi tries to clinch but Alexander is having none of it. A head kick by Kenobi misses and Alexander counters with a single leg into guard. Kenobi didn't expect that. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Alexander slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Alexander decides to stand back up. A momentary lapse in concentration from Kenobi enables Alexander to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Kenobi manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Alexander advances to half guard. Alexander is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. Alexander not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Alexander frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Alexander throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.
Alexander punching from mount but Kenobi doing a good job of avoiding damage. Alexander is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Kenobi can do to turn this around?
That's four minutes gone in the round. Alexander avoids the attempt from Kenobi to control. Kenobi defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Alexander. Alexander takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Alexander misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.

Willem Alexander dominated that second round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!
Alexander keeps the fight on the outside. Alexander moves into range and clinches up with Kenobi. Alexander changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Kenobi fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Kenobi slaps away a takedown attempt from Alexander, before circling back to the center of the mat. Kenobi keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Alexander backing away here, and Kenobi unleashes a leg kick that just misses. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Willem Alexander. That's going to take a lot out of him. Kenobi is looking to score with low kicks. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Alexander is looking to clinch but Kenobi is avoiding it.

Alexander darts in looking for a takedown but Kenobi gets double underhooks and turns Alexander into the cage. Alexander takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
That's one minute gone in the round. Alexander fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Jab, jab by Kenobi - just one landing. Alexander fails with the takedown. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Kenobi takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. Kenobi connects with an inside leg kick. Kenobi cracks Alexander with an open hand slap. Alexander ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Alexander looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kenobi thows a left - swing and a miss! Kenobi connects with a jab. Alexander closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so. Kenobi scores with a jab to the body. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Kenobi tries to clinch up. Alexander uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Kenobi.
Kenobi moves in looking to clinch but Alexander pushes him off. Kenobi throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Alexander counters with a one-two to the body. Kenobi throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Kenobi throws a right and a left that Alexander avoids nicely. Alexander is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Kenobi. A big right from Kenobi misses. Alexander attempts a counter takedown but Kenobi avoids it well and moves away. Kenobi cracks Alexander with an open hand slap.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Alexander moves out of range as Kenobi throws a body kick.
Alexander thinks about countering with a head kick. Alexander tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Kenobi manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Alexander throws a right and a left that Kenobi avoids nicely. Kenobi swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made. Kenobi misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Alexander.
Nice defenses there by Alexander. Alexander on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Alexander closes the distance and clinches. Alexander is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Kenobi is defending well. Kenobi working aggressively here.
Alexander tries to pull guard but Kenobi holds him up against the cage and eventually Alexander drops back down to his feet.
Obi Wan Kenobi has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Alexander is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. Kenobi misses with a hook to the ribs.

And that's the end of the fight! Obi Wan Kenobi comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Alexander has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
