Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Alex Novoselic (ranked 2264 p4p, 0 weight class) and Wayde West (ranked 7962 p4p, 0 weight class). Novoselic comes to the cage accompanied by The Devil Put Dinosaurs Here - Alice in Chains. The crowd seem to be enjoying West's choice of entrance music: Sober. Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Alan Glass and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Novoselic misses with a body shot.
Novoselic jabbing away but nothing is landing.
West fails with a takedown attempt.
West avoids the body shot from Novoselic.
Horrible takedown attempt by West or perhaps it was just good defense by Novoselic, which made it look bad.
Novoselic misses with a two punch combination.
West tries to counter by closing the distance.

Novoselic does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.

and West counters with a series of strikes. Novoselic will be more careful next time no doubt.

West tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.

Alex Novoselic seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

West misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Novoselic with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Novoselic scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. West doesn't seem bothered though.

We've been told by Novoselic's head coaches at Marijuana Gardens that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.

West tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Novoselic swivels and escapes.
Novoselic's corner calls for a 1-2. Novoselic obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
It looks like Wayde West has been cut.
