Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Alton Prince (ranked 8119 p4p, 0 weight class) and Scottie Mcniel (ranked 4023 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Alton Prince! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Scottie Mcniel! The judges for this bout are Reed Andrews, Columbo Gatti and John Kavanagh.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mcniel closes the distance and clinches. Prince manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back. Mcniel controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Mcniel working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Mcniel really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Prince. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Prince being controlled here, momentarily. Mcniel passes Prince's right leg, so he's now in half guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Prince wants to improve his position but Mcniel is controlling well.
Mcniel is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
It looks like Alton Prince has been cut.
That's one minute gone in the round. Prince is not content to let Mcniel control the position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Mcniel looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Prince with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Mcniel is working for a submission of some sort.
Mcniel trying to control from Prince's half guard. Prince has other ideas though and has regained full guard. Prince bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Mcniel's guard.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Mcniel can do anything to dispel that myth.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Mcniel working a defensive guard but Prince passes into half guard.

Prince could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. The fighters are battling for position here. Mcniel manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Prince postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Prince might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Prince throws a big right hand that misses. Mcniel is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Mcniel working a defensive guard but Prince manages to pass into side control anyway.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Mcniel throws his opponent off and manages to get back to his feet! Nicely done! Prince fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Mcniel gets a double leg takedown into Prince's guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Mcniel trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Mcniel stopping the sweep attempt from Prince. Mcniel trying to control but Prince is working from the bottom. Prince is breathing heavily. Prince wants to sweep but no luck.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Mcniel sitting in guard here, content to control. It looks like Mcniel might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it. Mcniel gets to his feet - Prince follows without any prompting. Mcniel throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Prince was covering up waiting for the punch and Mcniel finishes the takedown easily into guard. Mcniel sitting in guard here, content to control. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Scottie Mcniel dominated that round. The cut man is working on Alton Prince's cut. That's time! Back to the action!
Prince shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Mcniel dives in and scores a takedown into Prince's guard. Mcniel trying to control the position from guard on top but Prince is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Prince had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Mcniel defends it easily. Mcniel has gone for a leg lock! Prince slips out almost immediately though and dives into Mcniel's guard.

That's one minute gone in the round. Mcniel is trying to control Prince's posture but Prince avoids it. Mcniel holding on. Prince working the ground and pound but Mcniel is defending the strikes. Mcniel wants to control but Prince postures up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Mcniel tries to improve position but can't. Prince gets to mount! Mcniel was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly. Mcniel regains half guard. Mcniel throws a strike from the bottom but Prince passes into side control!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Mcniel tries to bench press Prince off him but Prince keeps the position. Mcniel explodes and escapes back to his feet! Nice escape there! Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Mcniel shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Mcniel was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Prince throws his opponent off and manages to get back to his feet! Nicely done! Mcniel has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Prince gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Prince is rocked!
Alton Prince's cut is getting worse.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Mcniel has managed to clinch.
Oh Prince is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Mcniel breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Mcniel shoots in for a takedown. SLAM! Brutal! Prince is out cold and this one is all over!
